Carolina Cheese Co. is a lovely deli with friendly staff and great food. The portions are generous and well-priced. The downtown Reuben and chicken salad with cranberries and pecans on a croissant are delicious. The grilled cheese for kids is a hit. They also offer a tasty Friday after Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. However, on busy days like Saturdays, the wait for food can be quite long. The food is fresh and unique, with meals like the CBR (Chicken, Bacon, Ranch) recommended by regulars. The restaurant is currently closed at the 109 Barnes St location but will reopen at 205 Tarboro St before the end of October 2024 as takeout only, allowing for online ordering for fast and easy pickup. There will also be an expanded menu. Carolina Cheese Co. is an outstanding cafe in downtown Wilson, and customers can enjoy the gorgeous weather while dining outside. Parking options are available behind the building, though street parking varies throughout the day.
