Pulliams doesn't try to lure you in by changing the menu or adding extras to what they have. They still serve the same unique BBQ and hot dogs they have always had. When you order, you know exactly what to expect (unless you are a new customer. In that case, be prepared for a different tasting bbq sandwich).

Walking into this establishment is like a step back into time. The decor, the service, the odor are perfectly simple and yet sublime. People get more than 2 dogs or else they will be going back for more and the hot dogs are that good. A solid dog comes on a nice crispy butter flat grilled bun with carolina red dog, smooth chilli and slaw that isn’t all watered down. The classic southern dog is a good choice and people recommend it. The hot dogs are fresh and full of flavor; when combined with the butter-toasted buns, chili and slaw it is perfection. Standing at the bar with an ice‑cold Cheerwine in a glass bottle is an absolute classic Winston‑Salem experience that never disappoints. Quick service and excellent hot dogs make it a local favorite for families and for a quick lunch.
