We’ve eaten at Kanpai many times but last night they missed the mark. We had a 5:30 reservation, got seated at 6:00, waited almost an hour for a chef. Usually you’re in and out in an hour or so. It was obvious they’re having personnel issues and are understaffed on cooks. The waitress was so-so. She did take our order and bring our soup, drinks, and salad. Great place to eat and enjoy yourself.
Brought my fiancée here for her birthday. The food was great, the chef was great, we were seated quickly.
When we got our soups and salads we were given disposable spoons, but the group beside us were given the normal soup spoons. We were told that it was either be given these spoons or have cold soup, which I thought was kind of a rude response. But other than that, most everything was great.
