Stopped by after a day visiting Old Salem for ice cream and banana splits. The prices are still low and the treats were just as sweet. The service was great. It's still set up like a classic parlor. We will definitely stop in again when we are in town again.
I came in to Mayberry with my whole family this past week. For me, this place is now out of the way, so it's been a few years since I've been here. That being said, I came away pleased. The inside hasn't really changed. It's wide open and has an ice cream bar centered in front near the door. It seemed clean inside. It was around lunch time, but not terribly busy. Initial service was more than a bit slow at Mayberry today, as it took a while before we could place our orders. I picked one of Tuesday's specials: tuna salad on wheat with a bowl of tomato soup. The kitchen was prompt in getting my order out, and while I wasn't particularly wowed by anything I received the food wasn't bad either.
