I wanted to give this place 5 stars. But I just don't get it. The food is airplane quality. Portion size were very poor for price. I guess if people who are doing the tour don't wanna drive into town they settle? And the vibe doesn't match the historical area. Just odd

Great place and great music 🎢 Love Morgan Myles ❀️ She is an amazing person and her voice is perfect. I love how she had her dad to passout note cards and came up with songs on the spot. You are an inspiration ✨️

We came on homeschool day and arrived 45 minutes before our tour appointment. We ordered soup and two grilled cheese. After 15 minutes we received our soup and 35 minutes later no grilled cheese. We asked about our meal twice and the attendant replied they are behind while we watched others who came after us receive their meal . Never once did he go to the kitchen to check nor did he offer a refund . Poor service Poor management . I reported privately with a response from owner which I replied too and never received an answer. Please make sure not to eat here before your tour starts!!!!

I don't like to beat up too much on small businesses but, given the lack of places to eat in Old Salem, be advised. Both of us ordered the Moravian Chicken Pie, a side salad, one hot apple cider and two bottles of water. Just under $50.00. If only the pies were delicious. They're not. Full of chicken, but super bland/boring. Just shredded chicken and some gravy in a pie crust. The frozen ones at the stores are better. And I heard the guy behind the counter say they sell out of these every day. LOL - I guess because they're featured prominently on the menu and the other options are sandwiches and salads. And then we ordered two cookies to go, and they were over $6.00. Just like a nice French pastry shop in Paris. My recommendation is to stay away from the chicken and cookies, and get the free tap water. Visit Old Salem, but don't come hungry.

Corn chowder was OK.
Courtyard area to eat outside.

We stopped at Muddy Creek while visiting Old Salem and we weren’t disappointed! They have several quick and delicious sandwiches and sides you can choose from. Our favorite was the chicken salad croissant and the Mac and cheese!

Attended the Joe Pug show last Sunday. It was a great show in a very intimate setting. I would definitely go back for another show though. The venue could use a little more ambiance and the seats were not super comfortable.

This restaurant had the most cozy β€œstars hollow” but colonial Salem vibes imaginable. Their pimento cheese is off the charts amazing and the live music made it feel like home. 12/10 could eat everything off the menu.

Very nice and cozy restaurant with old vibes in old Salem

I never give bad reviews, but I ordered a vegetarian dish and the hummus contained a hardened piece of mystery meat. $10 for a pita and cucumbers and carrots is difficult to justify. So sad, I wanted to like this place :( Front staff were friendly. I like to support small businesses.

Over thirty dollars for 2 people. Food served in to go containers. Pot pie in a basket. Plastic utensils. I had the Greek salad. It comes without feta cheese. The flimsy plastic fork doesnt work to pick up olives or cucumbers.

I love Muddy Creek but wish the kitchen was faster. Makes it hard to eat during lunch. I was also hoping for a higher quality ice cream given the price.
