We got to catch up after not seeing each other for a while. My one daughter lives in Charlotte so we don't get much time together. “We love the Port City Java location on Market Street. We are not locals, but you can tell that many of the AM customers are as the staff was greeting them by name. We had tea, coffee, and muffins. There is an ample selection of teas, coffees, muffins, and breads. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff is super friendly. Free refills is just an added bonus!“

“Was gifted a drink from a friend on 10/30/25. She brought it to me at a place I was volunteering. Unfortunately, it tasted so bitter and not good. It was an iced latte. I called to tell what happened and ask if I could come get a replacement when I was finished . The person I spoke to was extremely rude asking for a receipt (it was bought by a friend for me). I told her I didn’t have a receipt but I could bring the drink back . She then asked me the name of the person who bought it. I told she paid cash at the drive thru so she wasn’t asked her name. I had to go so I just said “forget it” . I was so aggravated so I called this morning. I spoke to Georgia. I explained what happened, and without hesitation she told me to come for a replacement. She was so friendly. I really appreciated Georgia’s desire to help me!!“

“This is the best coffee in Wilmington, coming from an avid coffee drinker.. They use Counter Culture coffee beans and always make it strong! Friendly, quick service and they offer a drive-thru. I have already tried almost every coffee shop in town and this one is still my favorite.“

“I really enjoy the people and the overall atmosphere here. Came to Grinders quite often when I first moved back to Wilmington. However, Grinders has always been on the high end for prices. Just got my first Dirty Chai over 8 dollars in Wilmington! I didn’t mind that it was made iced instead of hot as I requested but the prices are pretty ridiculous for the area. Go to Bespoke or Casablanca, get the same ambience and mucchhh more affordable coffee in my opinion!“
