Black Coffee and Waffle Bar Reviews
Best waffle I have ever had in my life and I’m a waffle snob! I live 12 hrs away and every time I come back to ND, I will be coming for my waffles (one to eat there and one to take with me)! Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service!!!
The food was good, but took nearly an hour to get 2 waffles (my wife had to leave AS the food finally arrived). There doesn't seem to be a manager in charge, as only one of the four employees actually seemed to be doing anything for the first 20-25 minutes we were there.
Once a few came out of the bathroom together, it picked up a bit. Though, at that point, I estimate they were about 25 orders behind, judging by the line at the register.

I ordered my food and waited about a half hour. The person I was with got his food but mine never came. Then, I found out the employee who was supposed to have taken my order didn’t even order my food. She put our drinks on the order and the food for the person I was with but completely “forgot” to enter my food onto the order. The Black Coffee and Waffle Bar provides a mixed dining experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often serving customers efficiently, even during busy times. The waffles are decent, with some customers noting they can be chewy rather than fluffy and crispy, but still enjoyable. The gluten-free waffles have also received praise for their great taste. The coffee is great, and the atmosphere is lively, with a large, clean, and open space that creates a welcoming environment. The restaurant has expanded its offerings to include live music and open mic events, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Although it is a self-serve restaurant where customers get their drinks and silverware, the food is brought out to the tables, and dirty dishes are placed in bins. This setup is not a deal breaker for many. The portions and prices generally meet customer expectations, and many enjoy the ability to bring in their own coffee. Despite some waits, customers often find the food and drinks quite good, and the friendly staff enhances the experience. It is recommended for those willing to wait a bit, especially as it continues to grow and improve.
