As out of town visitors in town for a funeral, we stopped at Silver Dollar due to the good reviews. Service was very slow, even for a busy lunch time, (we all ordered the Monday lunch special, cheeseburger and fries). It seemed like every single table in the place got their food before we did, even people that came in 30 minutes after we did. We waited an hour for our food. I was just passing through town, but stopped here for dinner and beer. I enjoyed the stop. Both the cook and bartender were friendly with me. the food was very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed, similar to an old-school diner. Next time I'm out this way, I'm very likely to stop here again.

Stopped in on the way through town on 80. Preferred off the highway a bit and local. Fantastic food! Really fantastic! I had a burger and my SO got the chicken fried steak special. Prices are just not what you expect for the amount of food you get and the quality of what you're eating. Will make the stop again next time we are in town FOR SURE.
