“The bartender Lily is always great she's very personable and friendly and always remembers our drink order. I tried the wagyu meatloaf last night with macaroni and cheese and spinach and it was honestly the best meal I have had in a long time. I also like the little added touches like packing up leftovers for the customer, which most places don't do any longer. My husband and I always look forward to our nights out at the Canoe!”

“This cafe is really a bistro. Everything about it just keeps getting better. The chef is French and he knows how to prepare a meal that is not only excellent, but pleasingly presented. Today they started serving brunch. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, fingerling potatoes and salad was amazing. Great coffee from local Roof Top Roasters is the anchor. The staff is local and makes any guest feel welcome. I cannot recommend The Foothills highly enough.”

“The hot maple latte and pastries that I had were very delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic in the staff were absolutely friendly. My only drawback to this was the chorizo egg and cheese on a biscuit that I had gotten. The biscuit was dry, the cheese was dried out and crispy and overall the price point compared to the quality did not match up. I understand that these are kept in a warmer pre-made which is fantastic for a fast on the go option, but I showed up fairly early at 7: 30am on Friday. otherwise I found the establishment fantastic.”

The service is excellent; the friendliest and most welcoming staff you could ask for. The atmosphere is clean and nice- I especially love their gorgeous blown glass light fixtures, and their black light glow in the dark bathroom is so fun! I left a message on the blackboard wall with the provided chalk! All in all, an outstanding dining experience. We will be back again and again.”

“Best pizza ever! Crust is airy n melts in yer mouth! They don't shy on the toppings! If u can find someone who puts more toppings on there pizza I would challenge u! My favorite pizza Pete makes is pepperoni pineapple and bacon on the top so it's crispy! N u never gotta order extra cheese cause Pete don't skimp on the cheese! This pizza is a little pricey but well worth it for the real cheese not the fake oily shit and I only gotta eat two pieces and I'm stuffed so one pizza can feed my family everywhere else gotta get two because there's no toppings!”

“Tavern 27 is such a cosy, inviting tapas spot the Lakes Region and the community is fortunate to be invited back inside following the pandemic and Ray and Leslie’s other life adventures. We recently held an intimate employee appreciation event there, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. The atmosphere was perfect, Leslie curated an excellent menu of from scratch bites, and some members of our team had never been there before but I suspect are already making plans for their next visit. You have to be super patient and not in a rush because Leslie prepares every dish made to order, and they’re also rebuilding staff so things will take time, but if you’re seeking a memorable evening out, and are looking for a rustic casual destination, please go visit them. “I am what you would describe as crazy about subs but very picky. The bread has to be fresh and the meat and cheese must be the best. Well, I just tried the old school Italian and I was so amazed with the taste of all the Italian meats and cheese coming together it was just short of being in heaven. There is plenty of meat. You have to try it. We’re going back for sure and I am 1 hour away! Debbie”
