We've driven by a bunch of times, but never stopped in. Finally tried it out and wow! I'm not a huge fan of BBQ, but this place was fantastic! The unbelievable smoked smell hits you the second you walk in. Cute spot with a few seats to sit down. Very flavorful brisket and pulled pork. Decent prices. Friendly staff, too. Highly recommend!
We were passing through Center Harbor just about lunch time, while on our way to Maine. Rubbin' Butts had been on my list to try for quite some time. This was the perfect opportunity. I got two items to go: service was excellent. Clean place with a few tables. 1/2# beef brisket and one slice carrot cake. The brisket - two slices - is very tasty and peppery, but had a lot of fat. Fortunately, I could trim off the fat. Two small lunches for me; $24.99/#. The carrot cake is good, heavy cake, no raisins (yay!l) and walnuts either only on the outside edge. Frosting is whipped. Good sized serving for $5. Free parking. I'd return to try the pulled pork.
