“2 day getaway from the moment we registered with sweet Jennifer oh my..she gave us a tour.showed us the menu for that evening. she is si knowledgeable and friendly our carriage room #2 was so homey..2 comfy chairs for reading 📚 fridge.coffee bar right outside the room..we can't wait to return.. food delicious 😋 the grands were immaculate!!! ty for a relaxing stay!!”

“As a celiac of 28 years this place is a dream come true. The owner and her staff are the most lovely people. They always accommodate my needs and never make me feel like a burden. Every single thing I’ve ever eaten or drank here is mind blowing-ly delicious! The biscuit breakfast sandwich is some sort of magical epiphany. You would NEVER know that it’s vegan! I am not vegan, but that biscuit with the vegan eggs and sausage are not just good enough they are top notch culinary excellence. I drive over an hour and a half, one way to get a taste of these culinary delights! Don’t just eat here because you have to, eat here because you should!!”

UPDATE 9/20/2025 - I agree with another poster that the more you order the more they become aggravated and don't want to be bothered with you. This woman wanted nothing to do with us and wanted us in and out even though we ordered sandwiches, cream cheeses and bagels to go this time. Spent a small fortune. Older woman was unprofessional and rude. We're done.

(Original ) Not sure if we got someone new but she didn't know what she was doing. One complaint would be they put all bagels in one bag so when we got home our cinnamon raisin and sesame bagels smelled and had the taste of the onion ones.”

“My wife and I came to visit Fryeburg for the fair but also managed to find this amazing restaurant. Everything from the oysters to the lobster was absolutely perfect. Our server was from our area Philly and she was super friendly and on point with our service. We will definitely be back.”

“We’ve driven by Almost There many times. The parking lot is always packed. But to our surprise they had more than ample seating inside and out. We opted for the Thursday special of fish & chips, which was lightly breaded Yankee style haddock. Two fish & chips for $23.99 (regular price $17.99 each) From the time we walked in and had no waiting (at 630pm) to our amazing service. The food was definitely delicious. Yes great seafood in the mountains 😊. Since it is just 40 minutes (pretty much normal timing) to this restaurant we will definitely be back to try out much more of their menu.”

We started with the loaded calamari (no cilantro), and it was easily some of the best calamari we’ve ever had, crispy, tender, and packed with flavor thanks to the sweet chili sauce and aioli. Perfect start. For dinner, I had the open-faced chicken piccata, and wow, the chicken was perfectly breaded, the lemon caper sauce was rich and balanced, and the mashed potatoes and focaccia brought it all together. My wife ordered the lamb gyro tacos, and she couldn’t stop raving about them. The lamb was tender and full of flavor, and the cucumber tzatziki and pickled onions were spot on. On top of the great food, our server was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made the experience even better. Highly recommend Barley and Salt, we’ll definitely be back!”

“At the outlets in North Conway to do a little shopping while on vacation. Found this amazing food truck tucked away in the back. The food was absolutely delicious! I got the chimmchurri steak tacos and my wife got the cheesy corned beef tots. Some of the best food I've had period. It is all super fresh and the portions are more than expected. 10 out of 10 will eat here again next year when we come back!”
