Awesome food and great staff, and great regular customers!
Just had some amazing sushi there with my daughter. We have eaten at all the sushi places in the area and beyond. This was some the best we’ve had. I believe it will now be one of our regular spots. Loved our waiter too!

Based on reviews, YAO Sushi Bar & Asian Cuisine offers amazing food that is beautifully prepared and presented. The menu includes California roll with raw fish on top, spicy edamame, japanese apps, noodle dishes, sushi, a vegan roll (faux tuna with tempura sweet potato), mei fan, the Tokyo Monster Roll, and traditional Chinese food like spicy chicken dinner or spicy shrimp. The food is fresh, consistent, tasty, and super fresh with perfect temperatures. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive, with wonderful staff and lovely owners. The lunch specials are large and tasty. This hidden treasure is some of the best Chinese food in the greater Portsmouth area and is worth the trip.
