Stopped in here for dinner on a Friday Labor Day weekend. Came around 730pm sat on the porch area on the second floor. The place is huge! With a bar area and an area with tables. Right across from the stage on the boardwalk and the Friday we came there was some cover band doing a concert. Good vibes overall. Had a cup of clam chowder which was a little more watery than what I had earlier in the day. It was still very tasty. I had the phish sandwich. My wife had the swordfish dinner....read full review

I was in town for a concert at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom and had a preshow meal at the Purple Urchin. Because the restaurant is located on the second level of the casino facility, the logistics were seamless and eliminated any friction.
The food is reliable, the ocean views are an excellent bonus, and the overall operation is well-run. A strong recommendation for anyone needing a straightforward, quality meal before a concert next door.

The knowledgeable bartenders, including Ainslee and the blond girl behind the bar, provide good conversation and travel stories. The restaurant features an amazing location with a stunning beach view, perfect for watching the lively Hampton Beach scene from the deck, especially during music events at the Sea Shell. The food is good and beautifully presented, with dishes full of flavor. The upper deck covered porch seating overlooks the Sea Shell Stage and the beach, providing a cozy yet vibrant environment. Despite some plastic tables and chairs giving a relaxed vibe, the wait staff work very hard, always impressing guests with their attentiveness.
