“Now THIS is a hidden gem. We were in the area to go skiing and were craving some mexican food. We ordered some chicken nachos WOW. fresh guac, loaded with flavor and cheese. We also ordered chicken burritos and they were FULL of flavor. great service, welcoming staff. I wish we had this place closer to home! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“I have driven by many times and finally had a chance to stop today. I wasn’t disappointed! The person I spoke to was extremely patient with me while we tried to find something I could eat despite some food allergies. I ended up with a delicious smash burger!”
“Yummy ice cream, ribs, and other food. We love going to the barbecue joint (unsure of what its called or if it's just connected to Charlie's). Staff are extremely friendly and they make all of their food fresh right in front of you (including empanadas). We love this place!!”
“What an absolutely amazing experience! Thoroughly recommend reservations at the bar, so you view a team in sync. Excellent menu, fabulous wine pairings, and groovy atmosphere.”
“Best breakfast and lunch menu. The cook is the owner. What does that tell you? Quality food, tastefully prepared, and the Wait staff treat you as a neighbor. Prices also are in small bills. Can't beat this place!”
“Incredible food, extremely large portions, the staff is extremely kind and we received our food so quickly. Hands down my favorite date spot and the best Mexican food I have ever had!”
“Such a great little taco spot! I would say it's a hole in the wall, but that makes it sound dumpy. We love stopping in at Taco Beyondo if we are passing through Hillsboro, usually on our way to Brattleboro or Rockingham in Vermont.”
“We had a paint night here tonight and it was our first visit to Divine. Everything from the planning process , to the wine, food, atmosphere, service and the wonderful staff was a 5 star evening. Thank you for everything.Parking: Right on main Street, there is parking in front or plenty of parking a short walk away.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp walkway into the front door.”
“The Bantam Grill is hands down one of the best (if not the best) restaurant that I’ve been to in New Hampshire! This cozy, unassuming Italian/American eatery feels like the perfect combination of upscale restaurant and local pub, with extremely polite and friendly waitstaff, as well as a bartender who should be working in NYC at an upscale cocktail lounge, because the two drinks that we had were unlike anything my palette had ever tasted before. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer almost had me fooled it was a vegetable, and the house-made raviolis melted in my mouth so well I swore I was in Italy. I will definitely be recommending the Bantam Grill to anyone looking for food in the Southern NH area, never mind Petersborough, this place is worth the TRIP!”
“Let's start off that this place is the most charming renovated farm house. We loved the interior and was an interesting clash being an Italian restaurant. The food was spectacular. We are originally from the Boston area and adore the North End. We moved out to the burbs and this place was still an hour away....totally worth the trip. I got the Gorgonzola Chicken. I asked my wife for a divorce so I could marry this dish. Just creamy and beyond sinful. Great stuff. The wait staff were friendly and affable albeit a tad slow. Nowadays, with the employment shortage, you can't really bitch about service if they're slow, but busy. It's just the new normal. Our only gripe was that the drinks were a tad weak, but worth the expense for the food quality and ambiance. Make reservations! This place appears to always be full!”
“Our absolute favorite place for a great cup of coffee! Not only are the macarons delicious with ever changing fun flavors, the cupcakes are perfectly bite sized, and both pair well with their wide variety of coffees. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming :)”
“I found Brown House Bakery online last night and stopped by today since it is only a 10 minute drive from our house. I got cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls and coffee cake to bring home, and they were fantastic. Everyone including the guests were so welcoming and friendly, and there were so many items I want to come back and try, as well as their full breakfast menu. Thrilled I found this hidden gem!”
“I personally don't love the pizza here BUT this place is amazing, the staff and owners are super friendly and easy to work with on speciality foods/pizza's, and they're constantly donating to schools or town festivities. They do so much for the town of Antrim, and for that alone, I support them. They have other foods that arn't pizza, their chicken nuggets are pretty great. :)”
“Atmosphere was great. Very good diversity of flavor for your palette. Owner/ operator is an absolute gem to talk to. This place is a diamond in the rough, give it a try.”
“I cannot say enough incredible things about Baker's Station. I ordered a custom cake and smash cake for my son's first birthday. Amy is so talented, so sweet, and such a pleasure to work with! The cakes came out absolutely stunning! I literally started crying when I got home! They are everything I wanted and more!! Thank you so so so so much!”
“Have visited several times living in the area but our most recent lunch with our of town family visiting was incredible! Our food and drinks for lunch were top notch and our Server Kelsey was amazing, she was very friendly, personable, attentive and made our experience even better. Kids options were awesome delicious and big portions, flatbreads and appetizers delicious again great portions. Burgers are awesome as we've tried those on a previous visit. Drinks were amazing highly recommend the espresso martini or any drink on the menu. Thank you so much see you again soon.Parking: Plenty of parking directly in lot or adjacent lot or also plenty of free street parking. We visited on a weekend and more than enough spots.Kid-friendliness: Kid menus and plenty of options for food and drinks very accommodating.”
“I have bought a lot of different things from the General Store, home made doughnuts, scones, muffins, all sorts of delicious sandwiches and they have never disappointed me! You have to try this place, it's so good! The staff and cooks their are so polite! The Harrisville General Store is a great reason to take a ride and enjoy the area.”
“This restaurant is in an adorable inn, and I loved it right off the bat. The owner was really friendly, as was all the waitstaff. Creative and delicious menu- I got their seasonal special galette.”
“Great food. Great service. Always keeps the family coming back for more. The only thing I would recommend is expanding their menu a bit! Needs a little more variety.”
“I stopped by for a coffee. I ordered the Mocha Latte decaf and it was delicious! I couldn't resist the cute store offering beautiful bags, pottery and other items for sale. I purchased a beautiful pottery bowl. There was live music too. A delightful place!”
“Our family had a blast. They offer bumper lanes for a set price per hour which was great for our kiddos. There is a small arcade on site which was fun as well. The food and drinks were good and the service was amazing.Kid-friendliness: Small arcade on-site, bumper lanes for kids, and kid friendly atmosphere”
“Food was great - we've always loved Grappelli's, even more so with the new owners. We had the Pizza of the Month and it was so tasty! However it was our first time dining in, and I was a little disappointed for the following reason - we had our 10-month-old daughter with us, and as it turns out, Grappelli's isn't so family-friendly. We had just driven an hour to meet family for lunch, and we immediately needed a diaper change. I headed back to the restroom to find no area to change my daughter. Thankfully, I had a changing pad in our bag, and changed my daughter on the bathroom floor (yuck). We came out from the bathroom to sit down for lunch, and unfortunately no highchairs were available. The food was awesome, but the dining-in experience left me not wanting to return because I felt it was not baby-friendly! Otherwise, absolutely no complaints. Just a heads up to anyone with toddlers/babies!Kid-friendliness: Not baby-friendly.”
“It was a maze to get into the building, but the food was worth it. My daughter and I each got a ham and cheese sub, and they were made to perfection. The pickles in the sub are like a deli style pickle so they are delicious! I would definitely navigate the labyrinth to get in a second time!”
“The very sweet bearded man had the kindest, funniest personality while my older mom and I were figuring out what to eat. We split the apple, bacon and onion sandwiche and had a cup of the curry carrot soup each. It was absolutely perfect for us. We roamed around the bookstore after and we just kept talking about that sandwich all day. My only note is that coconut cream would've been awesome in the soup”
“Fish and chips were delicious. The shepards pie could definitely be less greasy but was still delicious. Had the pretzel bites, and those were so good! Love that it was a small, quiet place to go with my hubs. It was our 2nd time.”
“Family friendly environment with a couple of great outdoor spaces for nice weather. Fast, friendly service. Great rotation of regional beers. The turkey club is consistently delicious as is the blackened chicken sandwich, the weekly specials typically have something for everyone”
“I havn't found a meal I love here yet, but they have so many options, and my husband and I both love the Hobo (he always orders and I eat off his plate.)The staff is amazing and super friendly. This is our favorite diner outside the one in our own town. HIghly recommend eating here!”
“I ordered a pu pu platter for 2 and it was excellent. I also ordered a large wonton soup and it had lots of veggies and wonton it was delicious. I got a small house fried rice. The rice had bits of ham, shrimp, chicken, pork and veggies in it, it was delicious. I also ordered general tso chicken and the sauce was spicy and tangy like I expected, the chicken was moist and the breading even, the broccoli was crispy. Great experience today at Sampan take out. I also like that they had small containers of hot mustard on the table and you could grab what you want.”
“Several friends moved to the area and wouldn't shut up about this place. Just to placate them I went in....Honestly, probably the best breakfast I've ever eaten. No joke. Every item I ordered tasted fresh like it was home made. I love the eclectic menu. Lots of inspiration from Central America and North Africa. Where else could you order a burrito and shashuka!? The only gripe I have is the set up. As a brand new customer I had to navigate how to do things: coffee is self serve, bus your own dishes, not sure whether to pay/tip at the table or the register, etc. BUT the staff are super friendly and affable. All in all an outstanding meal with old school New England charm. I live an hour away and will be going more often.”
