Restaurantji's Hudson picks for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“This place was highly recommend and I understand why! We got a chicken burrito a steak burrito and the nachos all coming to $25. These burrito’s where monsters, I can eat a lot and I had to tap out at 3/4 of the way. There was so many flavors and the meat was incredible and tender.First thing opened was the nachos and my hubbys knees buckled and and kept saying omg over and over… yep food orgasm status means we will be back!“
“Music videos on point!! Moved to New England from San Diego and thought it would be impossible to get good Mexican food. Riviera Nayarit has legit mariscos, and the chile verde is super yummy. Drinks are great too, glad there are even mezcal options like you'd find in CDMX, 400 Conejos for the win! Tacos also killer, my boyfriend loves the birria. Will be a regular forever. Staffed efficiently and the servers and bartenders work super hard- maybe a little patience is required from time to time if a bunch of people come in at the same time, but they're quick with the chips, salsa and margaritas until they're able to catch up. Excellent staff, excellent food, and the music makes me so happy.“
“To get a “true taste of Mexico” you got to visit El Potro Mexican Bar & Grill. I stopped into their Lowell location last week and they play to win. THE BEST Birria Tacos, with amazing consume. “I recently had the pleasure of trying the birria tacos at Baja Tacos, and I must say, it was a delightful departure from the usual taco fare. As a seasoned taco enthusiast who has sampled countless varieties, I was intrigued by the buzz surrounding birria tacos on social media, and Baja Tacos did not disappoint. What sets birria tacos apart is their unique preparation, which includes a generous serving of cheese alongside the traditional ingredients. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly complemented by the signature dip that accompanied the tacos. If you’re a taco aficionado like myself, trying birria tacos at Baja Tacos is a must.Aside from the exceptional food, the staff at Baja Tacos were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the ambiance was a bit lacking. The quiet atmosphere, reminiscent of a library, could benefit from some lively music to enhance the dining experience. Nevertheless, for those seeking a serene spot to enjoy delicious tacos, Baja Tacos fits the bill perfectly. In conclusion, I highly recommend Baja Tacos to anyone craving authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, especially if you’re fortunate enough to live nearby. Whether you’re looking for a new culinary adventure or a cozy spot to study, Baja Tacos delivers on all fronts.“
“Saw this while exploring the area and stopped by for some tacos. The options here are pretty standard and they have tamales and agua frescas as well. Service is simple, order at truck, get your food eat and then pay. It's unique that they take payments after you eat. They have outdoor seating that is covered so you can still get your tacos in the elements. Also bar seats are available if you want to solo dine. It's a go to spot of mine now. Very delicious.“
“Unpretentious and fun, with great food. Adriana made us feel welcome by talking, joking and providing great service. Certainly not high-end, but it doesn't try to be. it's a clean, family operated local, hig-quality Mexican restaurant. I rate the food an A- and the atmosphere a B.“
“As a lover of Mexican cuisine, I was impressed by the authenticity and deliciousness of their food. Offering a wide variety of dishes such as tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, pupusas, carne asada fries, chips and salsa, quesadilla, guacamole, and fish tacos, Cali B has quickly become one of my favorite spots to satisfy my Mexican food cravings. The tacos at Cali B are simply outstanding, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. From options like carne asada, chicken to more unique choices like fish, each bite is a burst of Mexican culinary goodness. The combination of fresh ingredients and traditional flavors truly sets their tacos apart.Another highlight of Cali B's menu is their burritos. These generously sized bundles of joy are filled with your choice of meat, rice, beans, cheese, and a variety of other delicious ingredients. The flavors meld together harmoniously, creating a mouthwatering experience with every bite. Whether you prefer a classic carne asada burrito, Cali B has got you covered. If you're in the mood for something a little different, I highly recommend trying their pupusas. These traditional Salvadoran delights are made with a thick corn tortilla filled with cheese, pork, and/or beans. Served with a side of curtido (pickled cabbage) and salsa, the pupusas at Cali B are a delightful combination of flavors and textures. They are cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a gooey, cheesy center. In addition to their main dishes, Cali B offers an array of sides that perfectly complement your meal. Their carne asada fries are a must-try, topped with tender marinated steak, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The chips and salsa are also fantastic, with freshly fried tortilla chips and a variety of flavorful salsas to choose from. The guacamole at Cali B is creamy and packed with flavor, making it a perfect accompaniment to any dish. Their quesadillas are cheesy and satisfying, while their fish tacos are a refreshing and delicious choice for seafood lovers.Overall, Cali B is a hidden gem for Mexican cuisine. The quality of their food, the authenticity of their flavors, and the friendly service make it a fantastic dining experience. If you're searching for a place that serves mouthwatering tacos, burritos, pupusas, carne asada fries, chips and salsa, quesadilla, guacamole, and fish tacos, look no further than Cali B. Your taste buds will thank you!Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my own opinions.“
“- Love every dish, especially anything with steak thanks to Edith's incredible rub/marinade. Highly recommend the authentic steak tacos with salsa verde!- Excellent service throughout; servers work together, ensuring quick and consistent service.- Impressive drink menu, particularly the fresh-squeezed margaritas. The Jamaican margarita with Milagro is a must-try.- Ideal atmosphere for any occasion, incredibly family-friendly. Because the service is attentive, and the kitchen is fast they make it easy for my wife and I to go to dinner with my 6 month old son!Kid-friendliness: Great place for families. There are always families here with kids at different ages! They’re always understanding and accommodating. We bring our 6mo old with us all the time!“
“First time eating there. Place was busy and loud (but certainly festive). The service was excellent. Friendly & efficient. The food was very good and reasonably priced. My classic margarita was huge and delicious. I will absolutely eat there again.“
“Our server Kate was amazing, she walked us through the menu, had excellent recommendations and made me the perfect spicy Margarita! A gem of a cantina nestled in between plenty of shopping options.Parking: Parking in a large plaza, plenty of spacesKid-friendliness: Kid friendly seating and menu options“
“I’m not one to typically write reviews (I know, very original opener) My wife and I have eaten at Frontera probably 4-5 times now. We stopped by last night on a whim. The food was outstanding, as expected! We’ve never had a bad meal there, and we typically order something different each time. We’re both chefs, so we like to “sample” and usually order a few things to share. However, the inspiration for this review wasn’t actually because of the food, but the service! WaitSTAFF (not just our waitress) were so attentive to our table. They had quite a few people in there for a Tuesday evening on 101a… Our water glasses were never empty, someone would graciously come over with the pitcher and refill. Our food was run and bussed very timely and always with a friendly smile. At no point were they overbearing, just observant of not just ours, but ALL tables. We even had our 1mo baby with us, and every member of the staff who was table side at any point in the evening complimented her and interacted with her, even with just a smile.Just truly a very friendly, caring and talented staff. As a fine dining chef who has worked in plenty of restaurants and have been both at the giving and receiving end of high end services, Frontera is a textbook example of good training, happy staff, and professionalism.I would be so proud of them if I was their chef/gm/restaurant owner! Much love ??“
“This place absolutely SLAPS huge portions of fresh authentic food and its very cheap, the yellow rice and beans were phenomenal and the steak was juicy and tender and full of flavor , some of the best dominican food I've had, the staff was very friendly and explained all the food to me.“
“Five stars all the way for B's Tacos in Londonderry, NH! Their tacos are simply out of this world – bursting with flavor and freshness in every bite. The variety of fillings and toppings cater to every taste bud, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a top-notch dining experience every time. If you're in the mood for mouthwatering tacos that hit the spot, B's Tacos is the place to be!“
“Great food at a decent price. Better to dine in than takeout. Staff is fun and friendly. Bartenders are top notchParking: In Mel's, plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Couldn't think of a more kid friendly place that isn't all about kidsWheelchair accessibility: Ramps all around“
“Everyone that works here is always polite and friendly. The food is really good, although the black beans are a little dry. The cheesy fries and [REAL] tacos are awesome and you get your money's worth. Some of the stuff is upcharged quite a bit, but almost all of those little convenience stores do that. It is pretty cramped in there because of the shelves full of product so there isn't much room to move around. It's nice having this little market close by so you can run in and get something to eat or order your food over the phone.I do wish they'd put a full menu picture or list online so that you could see everything they offer. Because the place is so small, sometimes you feel rushed to order because there's always customers trying to get by you.Always a good experience and worth checking out :)“
“Definitely the spot to go if you want delicious food, decent music, and a solid drink. Staff are attentive and friendly, and the place has been clean every time I've gone there. Even in the busier nights, they still have good customer service. I would absolutely recommend !“
“First time here and it was delicious! I'm all about flavor and my dish was very flavorful. Our waiter juan was super nice and gave us his opinion on the desserts and we were not disappointed. Very authentic tasting and I highly recommend. Definitely plan on coming back very “
“Great place to eat with the family. The service is excellent. Very friendly and polite, the food is really good, overall great and very very attentive. Place is very clean even the restrooms are very clean!! Will definitely come back with the family if I’m in the area!! Lunch for 5, 2 were children.Parking: Plenty of parking in front of the building.Kid-friendliness: Staff friendly with the kids, high chairs for the kids, foam cups with the lid for the kids!“
“This is a great spot! The manager is very kind and understanding. I always order the burrito bowl from here, and love it! Tonight, my husband and I ordered Uber eats and the food took a long time to come. When it came, the taste of the food was off, and didn’t taste as it usually did. I called the store, and the man I talked to was extremely helpful and caring. He freshly re-made our order, and even included queso and chips which were phenomenal. Their customer service is incredible, and they actually care about giving their customers the best experience! Thank you for the awesome service and food!“
“Was pricey for what I could have gotten at a sit down Mexican restaurant for lunch so I was thinking I should have but I have to say the beef burrito was delicious. Disappointed that the guacamole was $1.50 extra, not worth it for the amount you get I thought. Overall I would order again if I was at the mall and felt like Mexican food in a pinch.“
“Have been there twice, both times with a good size group including children. Atmosphere is colorful, authentically Mexican! Rest rooms and restaurant clean. Many different authentic Mexican foods ordered, all were excellent, drinks were good as well, freshly made, no sugary stuff. Wait staff goes out of their way to make sure that your needs are met, very pleased with this restaurant, wish there was one in Salem!!“
“first time here, and it was a very nice experience, the drinks were great, the bar area is festive, not boring. I got the street tacos which were ok, but the fried ice cream was the best. bartenders were all wonderful and were attentive. i went on trivia night so i got to meet a bunch of people! i will be back again :)“
“I'm visiting from out of town for work. I saw the reviews were under 3 starts. I decided to order because there were authentic items in the menu which leads me to think it's homemade with love. That was the case. Omg, it was hands down like it came from my abuela. Def will order when I'm in the area for work!“
“Had a wonderful experience here at this restaurant. The food was served promptly and it was very fresh and delicious. The servers were very attentive to our needs and made the visit very enjoyable and fun. I will definitely return while in the area. Thank you, Mike Ballos.“
“I’m from out of town for business. Very delish authentic food. Friendly employees, extremely hospitable, and clean dining area. I would recommend getting larger tables, but it still sits well. The language barrier was a little bit of a challenge but she was very nice and sweet. Keep up the great work! One of the best hole in the wall Mexican restaurants I’ve ever had.“
“I got the Mexican flag enchiladas they were amazing. We sat at the bar area, and there were plenty of tables near the bar. This is multi-level, but I didn't venture. The service was great. Tay was a great server. The margaritas were a little on the weaker side. I wasn't impressed since the name of the place is margaritas. I had three and barely had a buzz. I had the Don margaritas.“
“The food is always great! My only complaint would be they never are serving pupusas- which is probably their best menu item! Whenever I ask for them, they tell me they can’t make them. I wish they would just take it off the menu to spare my disappointment “
“Hands down the best Qdoba Mexican Eats in NH!! The staff is courteous, attentive, and just about the happiness restaurant crew I've encountered. 5 stars ? on service alone. Food was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere in the restaurant was warm, inviting, and clean. Guacamole was outstanding, it made me dance with the first bite! Thank you to the staff Mary, Patry, and Luiza for making my experience at Qdoba stella!!!Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetable options.Dietary restrictions: My child has multiple food allergies and they were able to accommodate“
“The environment is very homie and personal. Definitely feels like im sitting in mama's kitchen waiting for some great food. The good is very good and traditional. It feels authentic and is very authentic. Definitely recommend eating hear if you're looking for traditional Mexican food.“
“Similar lay-out to chipotle, but the food is actually good.I love this place. Been to every location so far because if I am in the area near one, I am eating here. It all tastes very fresh (and seasoned), is prepared in front of you, and the staff is extremely friendly at every location. Great value as well! I choose to eat in when I can, because the music is great and they usually have really mice murals all over the place.Have not tried the tequila bar yet.Not much to say, highest recommendation possible!“
