Staying at The Mountain Club on Loon we decided to try the gondola ride up the peak to see what was there. The answer was stunning vistas of the surrounding state, which in October on a sunny day, was breathtaking. We've had a couple of cloudy days and the difference in viewing is palpable. The sunlight makes the colours so vibrant. The air is clean and fresh and the whole experience very worthwhile.
We went there the beginning of October and had the most wonderful color I have ever seen. Took a gondola ride at the resort on the recommendation of someone that we met at a firepit at our hotel in Burlington VT. They were coming from Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire and had recommended if we want to see color we should head up that way. So happy we did, it was just like a postcard.

We rode the gondola up for breakfast. What an amazing place to enjoy a meal and the views! They had plenty of staff, and it didn’t take long for us to order our food, and for them to make it. Food was tasty, hot and delicious. The dining room has glass windows all around, or you can sit on their patio. Food was well priced considering their extra costs to transport it up the mountain! Overall a great experience.
