An icon in the Merrimack area! Ice cream flavors rotate pretty frequently, so there is always something new to try. There are only a handful of flavor options every day, but tons of different toppings or combinations to pick from. If you are not a fan of soft serve ice cream, I recommend going to Haywards or somewhere else as these guys really specialize in soft serve. I would be dishonest if I didn't mention that this is my favorite ice cream spot. I can appreciate that it is not everyone's favorite since it is soft serve, but I have never seen a place that offers the variety of flavors that King Kone does. Staff are always great, usually teenagers who are well staffed and crank cones out pretty fast! The line can get long, especially on those summer nights, and the parking lot becomes jam packed. This place is an institution. An absolute hidden gem, and I would be lying if I said it wasn’t the best soft serve in town. With an amazing selection of rotating flavors, king kone stands tall as a local favorite and a must have as soon as they open for the season. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it, we drove out in the pouring rain to get our first cones of the season, and it was worth every raindrop.
