“We love Rosa's. The food is always excellent and authentic. Gluten free penne pasta is undetectable from traditional. The house salad will make you ask; "How do they do this?". Atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting. Great service too. Remember if they are busy it's because they are GOOD!“

“The fried dough was warm and deeeelicious! Better than the boardwalk dough I've had in the past (which was tasty). The person who served my daughter and i, surprised my daughter by decorating the fried dough with a birthday message with candy on it! I enjoyed the pistachio cannoli. I’ve never had pistachio flavored but i thought it was good! The cream was a bit smoother than traditional cannoli filling, but i was fine with that. The person who served us had a kind smile, was polite and thoughtful. The place is small but no one was there at the time and i was just getting treats to take with me home. The price seemed high for me but i take into account the location of this business (portsmouth is not the most affordable for rent/real estate), not to mention the cost of ingrediants that go into the items sold. I am going to go back again when i can!“

“Staying in the area and honestly there's a lot of places I could have gotten food. Sofias stood out to me with their homemade pasta and the reviews were positive. Well... Let me tell you. They absolutely will not let you down. Great pasta, incredibly fresh homemade bread, large portions and the sauce is rich with a perfect consistency.
I ordered takeout and they took the time to cling wrap the entire container, which was above and beyond and very much appreciated.
The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. In fact, my only regret was not dining in. The place was immaculately clean and very spacious. Truthfully, it smelled like my grandma's house. She was 100% Italian and it really brought back some memories. Looking forward to going back. I might even stock up on their food prep containers.“

“Love the food. I was disappointed that we were told we couldn’t sit in a booth. She said the booths were All reserved. We had a toddler who does so much better in a booth. I honestly considered walking out. We ate and left and only 2 parties came in and used the booth leaving approximately 95 percent of the booths open.“

“Would give it an (overall) 5 rating and 4 (food) rating given a little more sauce on the pasta, and WAY less salt on the bread rolls - which I cannot even eat without scraping first. Regular stop for the wife and I for Spaghetti with Meatballs and sometimes, Sausages. With the Meat Sauce, a very tasty meal for the price, though I believe the portions of the sauce have been reduced recently, lowering it's value as well. All meals come with a choice of soup or salad, I choose the salad regularly (lettuce, tomato, onion and croutons, Italian dressing and optional fresh grated cheese). The tiramisu is to die for and the wine (Red Blend) very nice at the price.“

“The food is great. It is a gas station, so the eating area is very limited. Staff is friendly, however, some seem oblivious of customers eating in the small lounge, because two employees, one was end of shift I assumed, stopped in front of the drink dispenser talking about their IRL money and life situations. The awareness of customers at their workplace was ZERO. Even stepping out into the truckstop/convenience store environment, they kept their conversation going like they were in their livingroom. It wasn't quiet, which is why I write this. I just wanted to enjoy my tasty sub, which it was.“
