New American Restaurants near Rochester, NH

“I came in tonight for the second time to Revolution for dinner after a very eventful day. I was hungry and I loved my first experience here, so I was looking forward to coming back.

The second time was different. No questions the vibe, and the food was excellent once again. (Thank you to the Chefs) But the service was honestly confusing to me.

The front staff mixed things up. I walked in, and we asked for a table for 4. We were told no problem, and then about 45 seconds later, as if we wernt standing right there they asked us if we needed a table again. This was not an overly busy early Saturday night.

For some reason both a waiter and waitress waited on our table and were visibly confused about our orders at first. And we were confused at who was running the table. We were also inconveniently seated right behind the entrance.

Both the waiter and waitress were wonderful, professional, and handled themselves well, and we appreciated them. The food was excellent once again (see photos), and the specials were indeed completely different than the first time I was there. To the Head Chef and Kitchen: really knockout job. I’m coming back again because of you.

“I ordered a loaded cheesesteak with garlic parm tater tots to go while I was at a Sunday afternoon bluegrass show. Food was great in spite of being a to go order. Very nicely done! The sandwich was seasoned perfectly with a perfect amount of gooey American cheese. Tots were crispy and nicely seasoned also. I had a nice chat with the bartender (Jess I think) for a little while. Very pleasant experience overall. Great spot for a Sunday hang!“

“I worked with Little Miss Sophie’s recently for a wedding! Sophie was responsive prior to the event. She and her entire crew were putting in work the day of the event! It was a hot day with 100+ guests and she had a smile on the entire time! Highly recommend for catering!“

“First visit and not the last Great culinary and wine pairing experience. Everything was right and delicious. I loved the kindness and humility of the chef and his team, as well as their real love for the products and willingness to share their passion. Bravo encore“

“Overall, a nice dining experience! My only notes are that the pappardelle for the bolognese was overcooked and oddly shaped. I understand its homemade, but the presentation of it looked sloppy and unappetizing. Uneven, and wonky cuts made it look messy. Was over cooked as well so a bit mushy.

Sophie was great and attentive without hovering.

“Food was amazing. But the staff was not really the greatest. This guy came walking over to me and my friends table told us we cant order at the table because he only wanted us to order our food and drinks at the bar he was wearing sleep short red tshirt and look like he just got out of bed face was very scruffy. We got no drink specials I asked for a greatful dead watched him make it was made very poorly he kept asking my friend over and over what she wanted and didn't know what she wanted she was try to talk because we never been there so we didn't know any drink specials so he kept cutting her off shoves a menu at us we ordered and went back where we wanted to sit. I watched and noticed how customers were going behind the bar putting bottles in the bin the guy left the bar unattended twice. The place ok it was just dark and sad. At lease it was clean nothing like on there website but the food was the only thing great. I would go back if I knew who was a employee and they were nicer and cleaner dressed“
