Maddie’s is a great place for coffee and breakfast after walking on the rail trail in Salem NH. Super friendly staff!

The food is delicious, homemade, fresh, and considered great food at a fair price. The breakfast menu is large but not overwhelming, featuring items like the Irish scramble with corned beef hash and avocado toast on thick, tasty sourdough bread. Portion sizes are very reasonable.
The atmosphere is full but not loud, though some note it has changed and is not as welcoming as before. The staff is friendly, attentive but not overbearing, and has a very positive and infectious attitude. They are accommodating, especially with children and large parties. However, service can struggle when busy, with occasional lapses in refills or details. The restaurant does not take call-ahead seating or phone numbers, but offers complimentary coffee while you wait.
Maddies is recommended for a best breakfast spot, whether for take-out or eating in, and is also highly recommended for catering large events, with amazing customer service from start to finish.
