“This cafe is really a bistro. Everything about it just keeps getting better. The chef is French and he knows how to prepare a meal that is not only excellent, but pleasingly presented. Today they started serving brunch. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, fingerling potatoes and salad was amazing. Great coffee from local Roof Top Roasters is the anchor. The staff is local and makes any guest feel welcome. I cannot recommend The Foothills highly enough.”

“The hot maple latte and pastries that I had were very delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic in the staff were absolutely friendly. My only drawback to this was the chorizo egg and cheese on a biscuit that I had gotten. The biscuit was dry, the cheese was dried out and crispy and overall the price point compared to the quality did not match up. I understand that these are kept in a warmer pre-made which is fantastic for a fast on the go option, but I showed up fairly early at 7: 30am on Friday. otherwise I found the establishment fantastic.”

“The bartender Lily is always great she's very personable and friendly and always remembers our drink order. I tried the wagyu meatloaf last night with macaroni and cheese and spinach and it was honestly the best meal I have had in a long time. I also like the little added touches like packing up leftovers for the customer, which most places don't do any longer. My husband and I always look forward to our nights out at the Canoe!”

“I am what you would describe as crazy about subs but very picky. The bread has to be fresh and the meat and cheese must be the best. Well, I just tried the old school Italian and I was so amazed with the taste of all the Italian meats and cheese coming together it was just short of being in heaven. There is plenty of meat. I've been staying up here and coming here daily and have tried half of the food menu and I've loved every single thing. such a fun atmosphere and great food and even better staff. Without a doubt my new favorite spot in Meredith. Make sure to stop in and tip your server/bartender well too! 10 out of 10!”
