“We wanted Italian tonight and was pleased to find Cartellis North End right in Dover. Service was great. You can actually see the kitchen from anywhere you sit. Even though the place is small and noisy, the atmosphere was quaint and the food was delicious. I heard they give large portions, so we ended up each ordering appetizer and splitting an entree but still brought some home. Loved the spinach/artichoke dip. The chicken wings looked delicious but the penne vodka with shrimp dish was wonderful. Thanks for being so close to home and bedtime wishes to expand some day soon.“

“Love this place and their chicken parm. We went there Saturday after the week from hell. Michelle A had no idea who we were, and had no idea what a bad week we had and still provided us the best service I could have asked for. She knew her job and she knows people. She gave us the best experience at lunchtime anyone could have ever asked for. Knowing nothing about us and not knowing how rough we had it that week and STILL being so kind, patient, talkative and helpful is proof that she is a true asset. It’s not her behavior just because someone is having a rough time, it’s her every day. Thank you for being you and being so kind to us! Please show her this. She needs to know the impact she made!“

I recently dined at La Dolce Vita, the charming Italian and Mediterranean spot in Dover, NH, and it was a standout experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly the moment we walked through the door, with impeccable service setting a welcoming tone right away.
Our server was a highlight—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to recommend pairings that elevated our meal. They made thoughtful suggestions and checked in just enough to ensure everything was perfect.
The star of the show was the pan-sautéed Chicken Parmesan. It was outstanding: tender chicken perfectly breaded and sautéed to a golden crisp, smothered in delicate marinara and melted mozzarella, served with fresh pasta. The flavors were bold yet balanced, with fresh herbs shining through—no greasy overload, just pure Italian comfort elevated by Mediterranean flair.
If you're in Dover craving authentic, heartfelt Italian-Mediterranean fare, La Dolce Vita delivers. Highly recommend— we'll be back!
