This was my second experience with Cafe Lafeyette Dinner Train. They do a first class job at service and the food is top notch. Every need was met. My husband and I treated my sister to the experience and she totally enjoyed it. They definitely deserve all 5 stars. Highly recommend

The staff was excellent! Quick to get us boarded and immediately began taking drink orders as well as meal orders. The food was fantastic!! 5 star. The ride was just scenic enough though we spent most of the time in conversation about how good the food was we will do it again.

We expected the food to be sub par but it was actually quite delicious, atmosphere is 4 stars because the view is just trees and yards. But overall it was a very good time

We were excited for this experience, and overall, it was okay.
Our evening started with our table being set for 2 and our reservation made for 3. That seemed to be a theme; several other tables were not set for the appropriate number as well.
We were a little disappointed with the menu options, as they did not match what we saw on the website. And while the food was good, it was not what we expected when we paid for the tickets. In addition, for the amount we paid, we felt like there should have been larger portions, and that soft drinks should have been included.
As far as the service goes, we never had anyone come back to refill our drinks, in the entire 2 hours we were on the train. I believe they were very understaffed.
This could be an amazing experience if it were properly staffed and advertised. Unfortunately, we did not feel like it was worth what we paid.

If there were more stars I would give them more. We celebrated my wife's birthday and our anniversary with a dinner ride on the train. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the servers are in a class of their own. Our server was Jess. She is a gem. The food is incredible. This isn't just a dinner nor just a train ridein a vintage 1920s coach. It is an experience and a memory in the making. Fantastic!!!

A wonderfully different experience to take someone special for a very lovely evening! There are tables for two, but most are for four.

A nice dining experience overall but we had expected the food to be a little better and more plentiful. We were the first train in 2026, opening night and the homemade dinner rolls were excellent, followed by a great truffled blue cheese salad. The appetizer options were good but were quite small. I thought that would be okay, thinking the main meal will be a full plate. But the steak was a let down as they gave you five strips, not even a 6oz. See photo. We could barely taste the horseradish sauce since it was over powered by garlic and not balanced. You don’t need a sauce if you have a nice cut of steak. The dessert was a mouse/pudding/cake and was okay, nothing special.
The service was pleasant and attentive, but for the price we paid we had expected the main course to be more of a dinner. We actually had to find a pub afterwards because we left hungry. For $125 per person it was a bit surprising. Please serve more food for your guests and don’t just make one dinner roll per person. You have a good thing going, just serve more food, fine tune your horseradish sauce and improve upon your dessert.

Such a Special Evening!
We went on the dinner train for a special night out, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuine. Watching the scenery roll by while enjoying such a great meal made the whole experience feel magical. It was such a fun and memorable night — we’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and family!
