“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. He made Singapore noodles and Infused it with the perfect spices and it was ohhh so Scrumptiously delicious ? “This place is excellent. Keep in mind its cash only, with an ATM located inside. My first time there was sort of forced, when i was younger i was not open to different food like this. Now i find myself at this establishment multiple times a month. This time i had the saint patty day special. Corned beef with cabbage, and potato soup. Very good. Also tried the brat salad (i think it was called) which is german bologna with tomatos, onions, and maybe cucumber. It was extremely good. The kartoffelpuffers (potato pancakes) are amazing, the spatzel (fried german noodles) are my favorite. And the beef stew is like no other. Ive never had anything bad off this menu. The desserts are great as well.“

“This place has really gone down hill. I think the reason they keep it open is because it’s right across from the movie theater and they have a captive audience. Most of the time, you can walk right in and sit, but the good times end there. Usually, they take forever with orders, the food comes out wrong or has been sitting in the window for 10 minutes and comes out like something from Wawa’s hot and ready food by the checkout. The waiters typically look like they’re running around blindfolded serving 20 tables on their own even though nobody is there. The drinks are yummy like Willy Wonka Made them, and I like the brownies and Jack Daniel’s chicken even if they don’t call it Jack Daniel’s anymore. At least they serve food late unlike the tavern downtown. Five stars.“

“The food is spectacular. Now ,I've read some of the comments and yes, the service is a bit slow - but you are not at a fast food restaurant! If you want fast, go to McDonalds. If you want great authentic food - this is your place. The portion sizes are large enough that I usually bring some of my meal home to enjoy the next day and I'm a big eater.“

“A very nice dining experience, excellent Steak selections. I had a 35 day dry aged ribeye steak that was amazing. The 14oz root beer glazed French cut pork chop was very tender and delicious. Lot's of side choices & dessert's, we tried several and enjoyed all!. There are also some Italian choices like Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan. Read the menu it will make your mouth water there's definitely something for everyone!“

The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is a little lack luster but most people order take out and don't typically eat in. Regardless, we love the food and have had great experiences. “First visit last week for lunch on a friend's recommendation. Really good General Tsao combo plate, and salmon bento box. The service was attentive, and pricing surprisingly inexpensive. E.g. The bottled water and canned sweet tea were $1 each. Parking is in the rear of the building. A bit hard to find because of high bushes on the Rte 33 frontage, but worth looking for. Highly recommend "Best Choice."
