“Last night 6 of us who have been to Plumstead many times went for dinner, Food was great as always (prime rib, stuffed shrimp, champagne chicken, chicken stir-fry excellent,) On this visit however our server was not very pleasant. It started with asking for separate checks which she said she couldn't do. One guest asked for cole slaw instead of salad and she said no subs, but on previous visits we could sub. Another server came over and was very pleasant complimenting one of our party on their Christmas sweater, the manager offered to take a picture of our group. Our server reached across other diners to serve food or drink instead of walking around to put in front of them. Probably should have said something to the manager upon leaving. We know her name but will only say it starts with a P.“

“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. We’ve been visiting Dosa Grill for years, and their food always satisfies our craving for comforting South Indian soul food. But today, it was their kindness that left the biggest impression.

The staff surprised an elderly couple, longtime customers celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary, with a cake and balloons. The couple, who were dining by themselves, were overwhelmed and kept saying that no one had ever acknowledged and surprised them quite like this in their entire lives.

It was so heartwarming to witness such a thoughtful gesture. Moments like these remind us that behind a restaurant are people with truly good hearts. One more reason to keep coming back to Dosa Grill!“

“A hidden gem that doesn't need to advertise. Once you go, you'll never forget Le Dish.

Le Dish that will have me coming back are the calamari and sushi since they were the best thing I've had in a long time! The calamari isn't the typical one, they were strips rather than rings and it tasted like they used wonton strips as their breading. The sushi stayed together and hit every element (salty, fresh, & crunchy). Definitely will be coming back with friends and family.“

“I was thankful to find Steve and the Stonebridge bagel shop for my daughter's wedding breakfast and lunch. Less than a week before the big day, on Labor Day weekend no less, I reached to Steve, and he was AMAZING! They were so easy to work with leading up to the wedding and made everything stress-free. The food was absolutely delicious—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it (and kept going back for more!). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully set up. We opted for sandwiches. 2 ordered the roast pork, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and both finished and raved how delicious 😋 Other 2 of us ordered the cheesesteak with LTO, red wine vinegar and olive oil, I added light mayo. The rolls these sandwiches were served were fantastic 😋 The sammies were NOT "packed" with fillings like a cheesesteak joint. Nicely presented with homemade potato chips. Quality of ingredients is huge because I can't eat a lot. The red wine vinegar and olive oil was top notch. I use red wine vinegar almost daily 😋 I would definitely go back for the same meal, about 1hr from my home and worth the trip 😋“

For instance, when there making sandwiches, they go from making one sandwiche right to the next without changing their gloves. Also not putting paper down before making your sandwich. We are traditional Italian cooks by heritage, and we could not get over the incredible meatballs! They made the chicken piccata with just the right amount of lemon and capers.
