Food is all decent if I haven't found a spectacular item yet. Shepherd's pie special today, could have used a little more seasoning and it was very dry at the bottom which I was not used to... Usually there's some juice there with the beef or lamb. Still was very good, as usual the bartenders are top-notch, food comes out piping hot (just the way the Flaming Carrot likes it), and Hightstown is a great little New Jersey town. Jocelyn and Richie make the bar a staple. They are both friendly , personable and easy to talk to, and they can also make cocktails that taste great. Those are the two bartenders I’ve mostly dealt with. Real salt of the earth people which I respect. The food can also be very good. The chef comes out with some very great dishes on their specials that mostly surprise expectations. Not a paid review, just a happy customer.

The food is really good they have a standard gastropub type menu and then a seasonal menu on rotation the chef mixes up. Very large bar area that can get quite busy. Many craft beers on tap and they offer flights. There are tvs in the bar area for sports and a space for live music. Parking is adjacent to the restaurant never had an issue finding a spot. In the summer there is a larger outdoor seating area
