extremely disappointed. security guards asked for two forms of IDs that are physical. When we asked when this introduce, they rudely say it was on the website which was incorrect as we looked at the website.

Super shitty dive with really crappy stale beer

My friend groups loves coming here! The decor is so fun with trinkets and quotes all over the walls. You are bound to find something new every time you go. There are a few areas that you can hang out in - the chill outdoor patio, the indoor tent where you can enjoy the music, and the indoor bar area where a lot of the action is so you can really hang out based on your mood. The free pizza ticket with every drink is the cherry on top. The line can be quite long but it does move fast and will be worth it in the end!

I definitely enjoy Johnny macs more than anywhere in Asbury. They have 3 different bar areas to chill and party at, and they also have an outdoor area if you need fresh air. Each bar area has a different musical vibe to it and really people all ages can find a spot here that they can enjoy and have a great time. They offer a free bar pizza with every purchased drink so that is definitely a unique offer that you dont really see anywhere else. The only critique i have is that the bathroom situation is not so great

Fun atmosphere and very spacious. Great for after work with Coworker's or for a regular drinking night with friends but you can go alone and make new friends too.

A beautiful historic bar in Asbury Park. I love going there for lunch and getting the free pizza. I am amazed at how many professors use the facility to grade their online students while enjoying the classic atmosphere. The art work through the facility is truly engaging. The people are wonderful. If you visit Asbury Park, Johnny Mac's House of Spirits will make it an outstanding memory for you!

They denied my friend Sophia of a real identification. Absolutely unreal. I am really mad. BOND STREET is where its at. She has been 21 for NINE MONTHS. Absolutely unreal. Atrocious behavior by the bouncer. We asked for his name and he refused to oblige. Larger ginger man with a beard (beard was also ginger) was being absolutely disrespectful when asked when my friend was denied. I asked for a reasoning and his reasoning was that 3 people said that her identification was fake. Also if you believe an identification is fake you are not supposed to give it back. (might be racially motivated) not the point though. I am absolutely mindblown by the fact that my female friend cannot get into Johnny Macs even though she did not drink a single alcoholic beverage the entire night. She was being very respectful and did not cause any harm. I am flabbergasted at the way the bouncers and the employees at Johnny Macs handled this situation I do not plan on coming back. I hope the owner sees this. Thank you for your time

I'm giving you five stars because that's what you deserve and frankly what you've earned. The staff is great, Meg is great, Dylan is great and there is another bartender with an unusual name, I think starts with an I and I apologize...my memory is just shifty anymore, you told me your name at least twice already, and I'm sorry....she's great also. This place is an oasis if you're waiting for a bus.

I just have one problem. I'm not some dumb kid. I know how bars can be. But there were these drunk, aggresive Hispanic guys, screaming and howling and being rude and aggressive. Can't the bartender ask 'em to leave? People who can't control their behavior, especially when they drink, don't belong with people who just want to get lunch and relax before the bus comes.

Always love coming to Johhny Mac's, they have a cool vibe inside and free pizza! Big shout-out to the girl bouncer who helped my girlfriend with some aggressive drunk girls in the bathroom and took care of the situation, she was great. I'll definitely be coming back.

The beer was so good, cold and fresh I had Sam Adams and Blue moon. I would have preferred it served in a glass but it was a busy night. This bar has so much character.
