Brando's has the rudest and worst service in Asbury Park. I have been going for 20 years and consistently, without exception, the staff are the rudest most aloof jerks ever. And honestly, so much excellent Italian food, you never really have to go there. I was a restaurant manager. I have worked in fine dining. Give your money to people who appreciate you. These people do not.
Giuseppe our waiter was wonderful. Wedge salad was good but hard to mess that up. Wontons were mediocre. There was a long wait between appetizers and entrees, though I did see our waiter go into the kitchen to check a few times. My husband enjoyed his pork chop special. My halibut oreganata was dry. Cannoli filled zeppoles and cappuccinos were a good ending to an otherwise "ok" meal. Excellent service by Don. We were fortunate to be seated in front corner window which gave us privacy. Every dish ordered was excellent, including dessert. The back room includes a brick oven. Worth the 5 stars I posted!
