“If you're on the hunt for a fiesta on your plate, El Tacuate is where you want to be! The food? Pretty darn good! While the prices might make your wallet do a little shimmy, the portions are so massive that you'll likely leave with a doggy bag (or two!).
Both my dining partner and I were defeated by our generous servings—seriously, it's like they want you to take a siesta afterward! The flavors were vibrant, and each bite felt like a mini celebration of Mexico.

“Everything was excellent! The calamari appetizer and crab guacamole tostada appetizers were outstanding! Mahi Mahi fish tacos...mmmmmm! The surf and turf fajitas with cilantro sauce from avrating 1 - 5, I give it a 10! But let me tell you how the drinks are worth every penny, I had a Whiskey Summer and a Long Island...mmmm yeah I was done after 2 drinks!!! Enjoy!“

“We tried you guys for the first time tonight for Restaurant Week. The food and service were excellent. I've tried alot of tamales, but your chicken tamale is the best I've had. Mexico is a hidden gem in AC! Can't wait to come back and try more things!“

“Conveniently located next to poker room. Take escalator downstairs to food court.The eggs are fresh and hash browns are tasty. Food came out fast & warm. I particularly enjoyed the turkey bacon strips. Made to order.Order at counter & get handed a numbered placard. The kind server will bring your food and clear your table when done.Tipping is optional.“

“I would love to rate this restaurant higher but due to the price of parking and the food wait time it gets 4 stars. The food itself was good and priced reasonably. It was very quiet inside as well. The surrounding area however is not as nice, it’s a shame because the restaurant interior is rather pleasant inside. Overall

“We are so bummed that this place closed. At least the bar is still there. The food was AWESOME!! We would walk the entire length of the boardwalk just to get the Mexican at Ocean. Now, it's no longer.
The people that put in your order were so nice. LaShonnah was our personal favorite. What a personality...so kind & so friendly. As for the food, we loved the street corn, the fish tacos and the quesadillas. They weren't just good, they were DELICIOUS!! Our group of friends often chose this place to meet at ahead of our outings. The food was always fresh and consistent. It's a bummer that it's gone!! Even the truck was kind of charming. It could've been reimagined, but it was still really really good!!!
If I were Ocean, I'd relocate and re-do the concept. Mexican is muy popular and they're missing out!!“

“Had our anniversary dinner here. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were phenomenal, but the highlight of our evening was our server- Ragen. Super nice, knowledgeable, funny and so sweet! Go see her and enjoy the bonus of amazing food! Ragen- thanks for an amazing meal! We will be coming again!“

“We were looking for an Awesome Mexican restaurant in AC. Online we found Salt and Pepper. The ratings were high, so we thought we’d check it out. It certainly lived up to it’s reputation. The food was Amazing and Super Authentic.! We’ll definitely be back!“
