“Great atmosphere, as a Philly Cheesesteak connoisseur, I say this place is definitely top 5. I got a plain steak sandwich with regular bread, white American cheese, mushrooms, and grilled peppers. Everything was cooked to perfection. The spicy pickles were good too! Will definitely go back!“

“Friendly and professional staff, answered all my questions politely. My cheesesteak was everything I hoped for and more. Steak was tender, perfect amount of cheese, bread was firm outside (but didn’t hurt my mouth after every bite) and soft inside, and it came out HOT. Hopefully ownership can get a bigger place one day and have a bigger restroom (dare I say two restrooms?).

Most impressive part is that I came on a Monday, so I was fearful I wouldn’t get quality service and food. This place lives up to the hype! Highly recommend!“

I made the horrible mistake of eating at Pat's the other day, and the meat tasted like shoe leather. “What an absolutely legendary cheesesteak! As someone who has eaten more cheesesteaks than any normal human should comsume, I daresay this missile of a sandwich was the best I've ever had. Fried onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and all 3 cheeses. The food came fast, the service was excellent, and the pricing was exactly where it needs to be, especially considering tye quality of the food these people are churning out. The portion size was perfect for a hearty fat man such as myself. This will now ALWAYS be the place I go for the most unctuous, velvety cheesesteaks. My life is forever changed.“

While most restaurants may not be as good as they used to be, it is the opposite for Tony & Nick's. They started at a very high level and seemed to exceed it.“

Jazzy atmosphere, very high energy. Staff is friendly and polite. Generous portions. I had a pork sandwich, which was well seasoned and delicious. The only concern I had is that they have Pepsi products and won’t let you get tap water if you don’t like Pepsi. Cold bottled water in the fridge isn’t for me. (Some of us seniors have our preferences.)

I hope these people are successful because the area needs a food option like this. But, please consider letting seniors (and others) have tap water. Thank you.“

“Stopped in to pick up lunch at Raging Bull. Can only say outstanding. Eric and mom, Susan are terrific. My chicken steak was one of the best I've had. Jess' smash burger was, well, smashing! Think I'm gonna have to work my way through the menu..stop by and enjoy.“

“This is Rocco's ! What's there to say ? As always nothing short of fast friendly and deliciously fabulous. Over 50 years family business. What's there to say besides fast, friendly and caring community icons. It's Rocco's steaks delicious fresh high quality and the Italian Hoagie is the absolute best I have ever had.( Well, actually have had repeatedly over and over and delicious every time ) I just cannot bring myself to get one from anywhere else. High quality fresh meats made correctly. They also serve many other foods and breakfast items at good prices. A popular neighborhood staple but if you don't live in the direct area definitely worth a little ride for take out. ♥️ They are take out and delivery but they do have a small counter seating and both that many like to frequent.“

“Had my first Water Ice, Lemon, here while we were touring the area. Fantastic! The gentleman that ran the cart was friendly nad hooked my right up, even though he was in the middle of a boat load of Cheesesteak orders. If I had had room for another Cheesesteak I definitely would have ordered one of his, they looked and smelled incredible. His usual spot is right there on the corner of 6th & Market and it's a great unofficial Ambassador to the city and it's local flavors. If you're going to visit Philly, this is a good stop to plan on.“

“My favorite spot to eat in the Deptford Mall food court. Highly recommend the kimchi cheesesteak, but if you want traditional go with the Old School. Cheese fries were excellent as well.

It's a tad pricey but it's in the mall, so for what ya get I think it's fair. Quality is excellent as well. Give them a try.“

South Philly is the best so far and stayed hot even after a couple of hour drive.

As I traveled here, I didn’t know what to expect because I don’t know of any good , cheap food spots in this exact area right off the Blvd. Ain’t the best part of Philadelphia but there is security cameras inside & the 2 staff members were nice .
