“Growing up this was like a block walk from my Grammy house and she always took us here. Now that im back living in the camden area again I get to come here on the regular. Their breakfast is amazing and they got some of the best steaks in the area.“
“Great place we stumbled on while going to a concert nearby. Food was amazing! We got the chicken cheesesteak on salad and Buffalo chicken cheesesteak on nachos. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Great service too. The only issue is the place is not close to home!“
“The pizza was delicious me and my lady ate there while I was waiting for my son @TJcuts to cut my hair who works At the barber shop next to this pizzaria there hospitality is outstanding and they're very curtious ten minutes later I sent her to get me another water and they have her a free water just being curtious very good people I highly recommend this place good food“
“This place is a definite must-visit! I went all in with the pizza and cheesesteak, and while the cheesesteak didn't quite steal the show for me, the pizza totally rocked my taste buds into another dimension! Seriously, it was pizza perfection—so good, it deserves a 9.2 on the deliciousness scale!“
“I’ve been to several Philadelphia cheesecake spots in the past few years that I have been coming. FYI I’m from the DC. And I have to say that from all the Philly cheesesteak spots that I have tried. This one is the BEST.. and DIRT dessert they have is Crack!“
“Family and I are here in town on vacation from Baltimore. Thought we might try some of Philadelphias food out. Anyhow, we tried this place today. Nice and hot. It also was delicious. I'd eat there again. I'd also recommend this place. Liking the Philly cheese steaks plus all of the amazing views of your fine city.“
“The pizza is really good. I like the flavor of the pizza and the chicken tenders. The garlic knots are fresh and they taste just as good if you eat it the next day. The staff is friendly and ordering online is easy and quick. I would recommend this place.“
“Service, speed, and pricing was top notch. The "special" soda was just ok. Nothing much different than a typical soda. The cheesesteak was a good size, but very under filled. Flavor was good. Roll was more crisp and greasy than typical. I'd eat again but doesn't make my top 3.“
“Selected this spot after seeing great reviews. Did not disappoint. Ordered the chicken cheesesteak with cheddar and all the add ons, ribeye cheesesteak, onion rings, and fries. The sandwiches were delicious and hearty. And let me tell you about the onion rings- they were out of this world. The best onion rings on this planet hands down! ?? Portion sizes were great. The staff was helpful and accommodating as well!“
“Roast pork was wonderful and the small sandwich was still fairly large. Getting the sharp provolone and spinach on the sandwich was a bit lackluster. The sharp provolone tasted fine but was still cool and not melted, so it was not the best sensation. On the flip side the spinach was murdered and crying help (would have been much better if it was just barely wilted). Been there, done that, and don't expect to ever return.“
“Delicious! Only had their cheesesteak here, which was very unique. Their non-seeded hoagie roll was also fresh and tasty. The cherry pepper mayo used may get a little overwhelming as there's a lot going into this steak. I ordered online on a late Monday afternoon and took about 10 minutes for two to be made. Will gladly come back.Parking: Street parking on both sides. 2 and 3 hour paid parking available depending on time. Free after posted times.“
“If you are looking for a great old fashion tasty hoagie, Chick's is the best deli I've been to in years.,just found out about this place through my 89 year old neighbor whom have been going to Chick's over 40 plus years. There chicken cheesesteak is awesome and everyone that works there seems to be extremely nice.I don't know what anyone else would say about this great hoagie and steak place in South Jersey but they have my vote for the best sandwich place in New Jersey.“
“Wow, such a great spot for lunch. The food was amazing. When you walk in, there are self-service kiosks everywhere, or you can order at the counter. This was great at helping people get their orders taken quickly and their food quickly. They were really busy and we went in with a party of 8 and we had our food within 15-20 min.The food was incredible, and it is worth your time to stop by. They also had very clean restrooms for their customers, which after walking around all day was nice.“
“Best vegetarian cheesesteak ever! Got the Cajun portabella with onions, peppers and cheese. Phenomenal!!!Vegetarian options: The portabella section can be done with only mushrooms, no meat! Cook cleaned the grill and used separate utensils to maintain a vegetarian area, lovely!!!“
“I’ve been coming here for years as a student at temple university! It’s one of the places that I enjoy going too and always rave about. The pizza never disappoints, and the slices are good for what you pay! Never disappointed. I usually get a plain, margarita, or a buffalo chicken. Today I got a buffalo chicken with my friend and we both enjoyed it!“
“What is this place ?? You maybe asking yourself and the answer to your question is……. HEAVEN!!!!! This place is Heaven I mean the phillthy cheesesteak was immaculate. It was so good that I had to stop halfway into my meal to call and say how amazing it is thank you Sandy so much hope I got the name correct. Oh I also got it DoorDashed and it came so perfect still ????????“
“Awesome food in Philly, glad it was our first stop in the city for food, the Philly cheesesteak is phenomenal, very well seasoned and juicy ribeye, fries were great as well. The service is awesome! Do yourself a favor as well and get the fruity pebble milkshake as a treat after dinner! Thank you for the hospitality!“
“This is my second time ordering delivery from Jacks and the second time I am beyond happy. Both times my food was so hot it had to cool down for me to eat it.I would confidently say this is the best cheesesteak in the area.I’ve also had the chicken parm sandwich and fries both also above the average standard of almost any other place around here.“
“So I recently discovered this place looking for lunch for work. The first time I ordered from here I got a cheesesteak, cheese waffle fries and a slice of bbq pizza. Now, the fries were good, they give a great portion for a small. The cheesesteak would’ve been great also but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt shaker and they kind of blew the taste for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the overpowering of the salt kind of ruined it but i still ate it. Last is the slice of pizza. That was delicious, i just wish they would keep it in a bit longer so the crust can get a little crispier. It was the first thing i ate and had to peel the crust off to eat with every bite i took. Overall, it's a cool laid back place. I would still recommend it to those who are looking for a pizza place downtown. They also have some desserts in the fridge that look absolutely appetizing. Oh, the macadamia nut cookies are out of this worlddddd!“
“My boyfriend and I used to live right around the corner from Pasha’s and loved it for lunch or a delicious, filling dinner. We moved to a different part of the city but went tonight for takeout. Not only was the food delicious (falafel is always so incredible) and the portions are huge, they remembered me when I walked in the door! They asked me how I was, asked about my partner, and even let us take one of their delicious desserts as an extra! It put such a huge smile on my face!Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area, 10/10 food AND service!“
“First time here since the business name changed. Sandwiches are an excellent value and quality continues to be superb. I love the new sesame seed roll option. Chicken cutlet italian had perfectly cooked tender broccoli rabe and punchy sharp provolone. The cheesesteak hoagie glistened and looked amazing! We will keep returning to satisfy all our cheesesteak and cutlet sandwich cravings.“
“a fast food shop. Based on the over 5,000 reviews, I wanted to give it a try, but I don’t know if it’s because there’s not enough cheese or the meat isn’t juicy enough, so it doesn’t taste amazing. Tastes a little dry? The portion wasn't very large, so I felt a bit empty after eating.“
“I am a local and I visit Jimmy’s very often! Multiple times a week. The service is always fast and friendly. The water ice is some of the best in south Philly and the pizza pretzel is my go to for a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend jimmys water ice!!“
“The pizza here is amazing! Thin-crust style that gets better with every bite. What's even better are their carryout deals. You can get a small cheese for only $7! It's a 5 minute walk from Temple University campus and they are open until midnight. You won't find a pizza better deal than Lil' Trents in Philly! The employees are awesome as well and will sometimes give ya free slices!Their desserts look great as well. This is the only place I will order pizza from now on.“
“Best cheesesteak ever. Come from Boston 1-2x a year and me and my team always visit this place. Superb from the meat to the bun and cheese. Fries are good too. I can’t eat any other cheesesteak anywhere.Bonus outdoor seating on a nice day - clean too.“
“This was the highest rated cheesesteak joint near my hotel and I can't say that I was disappointed! The shop is a hole in the wall and it might not look like the best place for cheesesteaks since they've got pizzas by the slice waiting at the counter. After my first bite, I was impressed! The steak was juicy, the "cheese whiz" (melted nacho cheese) gave the sandwich a touch more moisture, and the bun was fresh, soft and chewy. The fries were a good addition that made it a huge and filling meal!“
“Been going here since I was a kid and thought it was "Donald Berts" lol. The prices have definitely gone up up up as the years have gone by!! But still a good spot to take the kiddos(and adults!) for evening ice cream or cheese fries!“
“Want some great food without the huge price??? This is the spot. The burgers are seriously ?!!! The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful for a first-timer. The place is small but super fun and bonus points for having streetlight manifesto on when I walked in!!! Won't be my last time here!“
“Nice little stop to grab a coffee and a quick bite. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy coffee house vibes without the pretentious or hipster feel. There are always coffee concoction specials that pair perfectly with the various pastries they offer.“
“Manayunk’s best kept secret deli. I eat in, nothing fancy about dining area (thus the 2 stars). I have only purchased subs & steak sandwiches, both served on the best darn rolls found in Philadelphia I believe. They bring to your table. Both have plenty of meat and or cheese with just the right amount of filler as you ordered. Tucked under the SEPTA overhead tracks, known only by the locals. I found it by pure accident riding the SRT one day and not wanting to be hassled with a long wait to find, be seated, € be served at one of the many restaurants located on the main street. After all, I am only passing through on my bike.“
“The reason Saad’s is so good and near and dear to my heart, is not because of its delicious food or chicken Maroush sandwich (thats a large part of it obviously) but the biggest factor is the consistent flavor and quality in there menu items. With rising food costs it is really disappointing when your favorite food place just doesn’t get it right that time… but I just don’t know how saads never seems to miss and I’ve been working in professional kitchens for 8 years now and I know it isn’t easy. For years it seems there staff has also not changed and always remained with the positive attitude no matter how busy they may be, Saads just seems like the perfect ideal restaurant scenario every place in the U.S should aspire to have…“
“Delicious breakfast, affordable, and the chefs/staff are all wonderful. Love the breakfast platter, but the breakfast sandwiches are also fantastic. Also the cheesesteak on a seeded roll is really one of the best in Philly and the cutlet hoagies are so good. Cozy and comforting, it’s just a great place.Vegetarian options: Lots of great veggie breakfast options and a few lunch hoagie options for vegetarians, too! Plus homemade soups.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families here, has options that almost all kids will be open to!“
“Penrose Cheesesteaks makes delicious food! They have everything you can think of. From Cheesesteaks, Burgers, Wings and Cajun seafood they have it! Plus, the service is quick and awesome and never had a bad order. I would recommend this place.“
“The food is great. I take off one star because the only thing I am not happy about is the new 3% surcharge for using credit cards. It wasn’t there before but is continuing to be a weird trend for businesses. I am sure speaking on behalf of others as well. This looks we as customers are covering your operating costs.“
“As soon as you open the door, you’re met with that feeling of nostalgia. The guys are great and take your order right away. They even give you a small concert by singing the songs on the radio while preparing your food. I take the hour long drive from Delaware to Philadelphia as often as I can and I’m never disappointed.“
“Today my best friend and I had finished a workout and wanted a salad , I googled a place nearby that would have them and this place stood out based off the website and reviews I could tell they had good and also affordable options for lunch. We both got a toss grilled chicken salad , and it was so good ! Just what we needed after our hard work at the gym . We got the special which was a salad . A side of garlic bread and a drink. I’ll definitely be back in the future“
“I thought this place was closed all this time. Wow. No long talking, I give my cheese steak a 6.5/10. It's giving "papi store" with the soft bread, I know people love that style. The cheese fries blew my mind away. And I'm literally about to order some again (a few days later). Idk y'all, it's really something about that wiz. Delicious!“
“Steve’s Prince of Steaks is a Philly favorite for cheesesteaks. They keep it simple: thin-sliced rib-eye, melted cheese, and a fresh roll. You can add onions or keep it plain. It’s all about great ingredients and a classic taste that’s been around for nearly 40 years. No matter which of their four locations you visit, you’re in for a real Philly treat.“
“I got the vegetarian sandwich and usually a caprese style sandwich gets soggy or has too much balsamic... not this sandwich. The bread was perfect and not soggy. It was definitely a lighter sandwich, but i would definitely get the is again.“
“Best food in the area hands down ! Eat here roughly 3 times a week. Chris and his staff make your experience absolutely amazing. Cost is a little higher then other area shops, but the quality of ingredients used and the finished products blow away any other sammich shop for miles. Never had anything i didnt enjoy. The one time i had an issue ( ordered bacon cheeseburger and didnt get bacon) they compd my next sandwich even tho i had eaten and fully enjoyed what was wrong. Highly recommend giving arts a try !“
“The cooks were very nice, helped out with recommendations and were accommodating with our preferences for our food. As someone who doesn't often go to places like this, I highly recommend it and will be going again before I'm gone!Parking: It's by the front of a Home Depot, so unless it's a particularly busy day for them, you'll find parking easy.“
“I had the chicken cheesesteak hoagie with fried onions and it was delicious. I was gonna save the other half for later, but it was so good. I kept on eating it now I feel guilty because I couldn’t wait to eat it when I got home it was delicious. I highly recommend this place.“
“The flavor combination is too good. The kabobesh pizza is definitely my favorite. The highlight of my review is the tandoori cheesesteak!!! Omg! I'm a Philly native and I've never had a cheesesteak with these flavors... trust me the combination of Indian spices makes it soooooo good!!! Can't wait to try different items off the menu!!“
“I've been going here since they first opened and I'm glad they made it thru the pandemic. Keep it up, Shizz! The food is always great. I always recommend ppl to go here and bring my folks from out of town. My only complaints are the hours aren't consistent sometimes and some stuff sells out quickly, but you can never go wrong with a cheesesteak or those seafood egg rolls. One of these days I'm gonna catch a rice platter and a dessert if I can get there early enough ?“
“If I was able to give this place 10 stars, I would of. If you are in Philadelphia and want a juicy and tasty cheesesteak or eggplant parm hero, this is the place !!!!!! So good. The food is amazing !!! Recommend 100%. Best cheesesteak in Philly? YES !!!!!!!!“
“I took my son here on a Wednesday and they had live music outside. The staff came right over to us and got us started with drinks while we reviewed the menu. We order s few different things and everything was great. While we ate the staff came over to us plenty of times to make sure we did not need anything else. I highly recommend this place for a great meal and service. It is not in my neighborhood, but I will gladly make the drive to go there again. Plus, its next to an ice cream stand!!! For some reason my pictures will not post, but we got fried pickles, mozz sticks (best I ever had), cheese fries, panzerotti, and a cobb salad which was huge!!!“
“Best Buffalo chicken cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The bread is fresh, the cheese and sauce is just right. Best of all the chicken steaks aren’t over cooked, which is a point many cheesesteak places overlook, because yes you CAN overlook a cheesesteak and they get it right every time.“
“This spot never disappoints whenever in Philly Jim’s is the Best! The chop up the meat put the wiz on or Cooper Sharp and it just melts in your mouth! The light onions and heated bread make the difference and at 12.00 each. Took 2 home with me to reheat in my oven. But nothing beats eating hot once I ordered and sat in the car steaming the windows and it just melts in your mouth soft roll. Chopped ribeye and Chez Wiz.Just the Brst of Philly“
“Atmosphere: decent enough for what they are. What they are is a place to order and take it home I think. With only 3 2-seat tables, they're not meant to be an eat in place.Service: again, decent enough but not really customer oriented. Our order was taken, we sat down and were then brought our food bagged up and in to go containers. Had to ask for forks for the fries. That could be chalked up to the expectation that all orders are assumed to be take out though and there's nothing wrong with that except they should've asked if we were eating there.Food: the ribeye steaks are good and what a cheese steak should be. If I got a plain cheese steak with that being my only expectation, I think I would've been happy with it. I got the Philly dill (or whatever it is named). What I imagined was a cheese steak with chopped up pickles incorporated when the steak was ready to bun and whiz mixed thoroughly through. What I got was a cheese steak with a drizzle of whiz and 6 pickle slices on top. That's fine and all if that's what they're going for, but each bite was different which didn't work for me. One would be just steak and cheese, one steak with pickle and cheese, one just steak, and so on.“
“Super interesting cheesecake stop just across the river from Philly with interior decor and atmosphere that predates yesteryear. Oversized kaiser rolls with poppy seeds provide a pleasant twist from the standard long rolls. Sandwiches are a very healthy portion with a lot of meat. Onions were a bit overcooked for my taste and the roll was not hearty enough to stand up to the entire sandwich (it started to fall apart). We will definitely go back.“
