Born and raised in the Philly suburbs and this is now in my Top 5 favorite cheesesteaks. My family and I now live south of Baltimore, but Uncle Gus’s or John’s Roast Pork are our go to spots to fulfill our cheesesteak cravings.

Know what you want when you get to the ordering station. They're not fooling around. They processed 45 orders in under 5 minutes on a busy Satuday. Lovely seeded rolls full of perfectly cooked steak & signature Cooper Sharp cheese. Amazing.

Uncle Gus' Steaks is a busy, slightly crowded spot located in a terminal. The food is delicious, with steak that is sliced instead of ground. The bread is the star—fresh, toasted with sesame seeds, and never soggy. The "Philly Cheesesteak" comes on sesame seed bread with a bighearted amount of steak and cheese. The cheese is perfect, and the onions are not overpowering. Strongly suggest adding "long hots" for a kick. The filling is deliciously cheesy with good quality beef. The sandwiches are a really good size, perfect for sharing. Customer service is great and speedy, with all 16 sandwiches made to order. The food comes out quick despite the crowd. Seating is almost non-existent, so be prepared to wait. This is a must-stop for the best Philly cheesesteak experience.
