Made reservations for 630 on 10/17, the host was going to sit us at a small round table in the front, I explained to her that the amount of food we were going to order was too much for this table and she quickly accommodated me to a bigger table. If you’ve been waiting to check out Caroline‘s Tavern, I get it because after experiencing it, I can confidently say it was worth the wait . Caroline‘s Tavern doesn’t just feel like a tavern, but it feels like a place with personality community and stand out flavor in every direction.

Caroline's Tavern, formerly called Curtains, is a restaurant that offers excellent food and reasonable prices. The staff is amazing, friendly, welcoming, and always attentive, doing a great job getting meals out quickly, especially when it's show-time. The seasoned popcorn was a nice touch. The food is phenomenal and consistently on point, with meals that are excellent and nicely presented. The chicken pot pie empanadas were absolutely out of this world, and the burger and the variety of fries were a favorite. The stick reins and soy garlic Carmel wings were definitely tasty. The pistachio cherry shake was just ok, but the strawberry tres leche was enjoyed. The atmosphere is fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot no matter the season. The tavern feels like a place with personality, community, and stand out flavor in every direction. It was worth the wait and is definitely one of the favorite local places in Avenel. The host quickly accommodated a bigger table, and the waitress was well mannered, always smiling, and suggested foods to try.
