“We came from Canada to New York and decided to try this place while we were in Brooklyn; and we’re really glad we did. It’s a great spot. The entrance door is beautiful, almost like an old European shop, which gives it a lot of charm. The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met. The food was amazing; honestly one of the best falafel sandwiches I’ve ever had, packed with fresh vegetables. The salad was also very tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!“

“This is actually one of those 6-star places, because the food is so fresh and delicious. And it’s that rarest of endangered species in New York—a small business run by people who care and not a fast casual, slop-assembly factory.

Since it’s a hole in the wall kind of spot, it’s strictly to-go, but there are tables available in the indoor courtyard nearby—open to all.“

“Well, we visited as part of a food tour of NY. Being quite frank, if we had been by ourselves we might well have walked right past Mamoun's; it doesn't have the greatest frontage, and some might be put off.
But oh, my! Get in there and have yourself the best falafel around. We've travelled to many parts of north Africa and the Middle East and I can honestly say that this is the best falafel we have had - especially with that brutally gorgeous hot sauce (two bottles purchased to take back to the UK).
Definite revisit required!“

“The food was definitely good: good portion sizes (for NYC), we especially liked the hummus and other sauces which felt authentic. Wide variety of items in the platter. Decent prices for NYC.

My only gripe is that this is a counter top takeout place and the payment system asks for 15/20/25% tip and dude was watching me as I tapped the buttons on the screen, so I felt pressured to tip for no service before even getting my food. Not unique to this place but that’s the only reason I’m not hustling back.“

The food is always super fresh and it’s delicious. Burgers, gyros whatever weird sandwich order I might have it is always on point. The overnight guy behind the grill really makes every thing with love, you could taste the difference when he cooks. If you want things a certain way, I recommend going in person instead of ordering online. The store is immaculate and nothing is out of place. I like the store and I like the food

“After coming to the USA, this food truck gave me one of the best food experiences so far. I tried the falafel wrap and chicken over rice for the first time, and oh my God—the flavors were absolutely amazing!
It was my first time trying street food here, and it instantly won my heart. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and so satisfying. On top of that, the person serving the food was extremely warm, friendly, which made the experience even better.

“Whenever I am in the area, I have to get my fix!! The Lamb Gyro Platter and Chicken Gyro Platter are so good. You are going to want to order both. I wish I had taken a picture. The last time I was here was in Nov 2021, my flight got in after midnight, so I didn't get to my hotel until close to 2AM. This was one of the few places open, and the food was so good. The Hummus & Pita is delicious as well! You just can not go wrong with this place!“

“These street carts were peppered all over NYC. Am unsure why certain carts have longer queues than the rest even though they were all from the same franchise. Nothing much to comment on the taste. I didn't like the mess on the plate which was heavily slathered in white sauce. Reasonably priced. Portions are huge.“

“Just had a felafel, one of many I’ve had at Mamoun’s since 1975, though only my second at this newer location. Was delicious and not crazy priced (is there a $3 felafel anywhere anymore?). My only issue? The lettuce and tomato was too cold. Cold is not what one expects when biting into a felafel.“

I ordered the Swarma sandwich, a side of Falafel, and pistachio baklava (to satisfy my greedy spirit). Everything 10 out of 10. Very fresh.
