I will start by saying we are big fans of the mainland Joeys. We came down to the island on a Friday night. It was about 7 PM. There was 1 other table sat inside.There is no wait service- you order at the counter and then they call you up to get your food. Ordered three pizzas for takeout. The two I tried were very good. The white pizza has nice size gobs of ricotta to go with the cheese and hint of garlic oil. Joey's special was also very good, with a crust that is just the right consistency between pillowy and crunchy. We ordered online, which somehow avoided the 3% credit card fee (the fee is the reason for the deducted star). You can also order via Slice (which charges a flat fee that might be cheaper for larger orders).

I've been coming here ever since I started coming to the island 25 years ago. The place is clean. The food is good enough. Are they the best in the island? No. Can you get better food somewhere else? Sure. I think there's something to be said about great customer service and that's where it's really gone downward. There's no service with a smile.
