“I have passed this restaurant 100+ times and just never went in. It kinda looked dark and unopened. I have noticed that the owners spruced up the exterior with flowers and outdoor seating. I also noticed they were now on DoorDash. I ordered a bunch of papusas and a tamale . The papusas were a tiny bit greasy but otherwise very good. The tamale was also excellent. Amando's seems to be stepping up their game, given them a try.“

“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! Mozzarella sticks were frozen, Cajun fries, a handful of paprika drowned over the top Today beer that's normally $6 was $8 plus a $4 tip, tax and looking for another tip. Bill should have been $20 it's $30. Live with your wn failure. Don't put it on the customers. Pretty bartenders won't cover incompetence.“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“Come for the trivia stay because it's a really awesome place to be. E's Bar is preeeetttty awesome and quite a good size to be able to have a good time! The drinks are reasonably priced and the Tres Fish Tacos are BOMB. I appreciate the fact that they choose to be a sustainable bar with their LED lighting and purchasing of carbon offsets. It's hard for bars to reduce their environmental impact so any step matters. It always seems like everyone's having a good time here- not trashy at all, just a good neighborhood bar. And they have theme nights too which is fun.“

“Love this place. I am here for work and just wanted to have a chill night. It is Monday at 9:20 PM and they have live music! The ambiance is amazing, and the bartender Nathaniel makes some fantastic drinks! He checked on me multiple times to ensure I was good and liked the drink. The espresso martini is to die for! I can tell they use real espresso and not just liqueur. If I were local this would be my go-to place, but for now it is where I will be coming to when I’m in town and I’ll be sure to recommend it to my colleagues who travel up here and the ones who live in the area. “Easily the most relaxed, down-to-earth, cozy bar in the city. I brought my dog here often when I lived across town -- dog and family-friendly. Beer is always high quality and the bartenders are just beyond wonderful. (Shoutout to Geoff, Hannah, Joe, and Bear!) Highly recommend going in on the first Monday of the month, where you can catch a great jazz night. I actually met the entire family of owners who are understandably very proud of their cafe, since it’s really a fabulous cafe.Alex and Aris who are brothers do a wonderful job managing their restaurant. They also have another location across from the Javits Center. In addition to having wonderful coffee and teas as well as sandwiches and desserts, they occasionally have musicians perform in their dining room!“

Easily some of the coziest and warmest vibes and aesthetics I’ve see in a bar in a long, long time. Very reasonable prices (plus a nice happy hour) and it really feels so classy and chic, yet not without heart and character. It’s a beautiful space with grand wall-length windows that look particularly whimsical with the bit of snow and frost left over from last night. The Christmas decorations in particular are very lovely. It’s in a beautiful part of the neighborhood, too! I love to see Hamilton Place growing like this.

The cask ale is such a fun touch, too - and they’ve got a very intentional and strong selection of draft beers, whiskeys, bourbons, and more. Great service and chill staff.

All in all, I think this makes a strong case to be one of my favorite bars in the city. I’ve only taken a few sips of my beer and felt compelled to write this. I only hope this place thrives like it deserves to as a member of the outstanding Uptown Bar community!“
