We started with the baked clams, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The bar pie was exactly what you want from a classic Jersey tavern pie—thin, crispy, and packed with flavor.
For mains, the steak with shrimp scampi was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp scampi added that rich, buttery garlic flavor that made the whole dish stand out. The Drunken Onion Burger was another highlight—juicy, loaded with caramelized onions, and just downright satisfying. The owner even came out with some of their dessert options to try which ended the night perfectly.
The food, atmosphere, and overall experience made for a great first visit. Safe to say I’ll 100% be back to try even more on the menu. If you’re in the area and looking for great food in a classic local spot, Charlie Blood’s is absolutely worth the stop.“

Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. “Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

Rick is the man and has a vast knowledge of both beer served here as well as the brewing industry itself.

The food was very good … had the “Irish Spice Bag” … creative dish with chicken, hand-cut French fries, peppers and onions, and spices … something different ($20).

The service was very good as well … very nice and kind bartender taking care of the whole place … so need to be reasonably patient.

The atmosphere is nice enough. Nice vibe.

“Lovely place, a cute little nook in the middle of the heart of nyc. Food selection is great and is very delicious. I just hope it was open until a little later. Bar area is beautiful and the bartenders are very profesional and friendly. After sharing photos on social media, several friends pointed out that this is the famous bar featured in Gossip Girl, which made the experience even more fun

We ordered a spinach dip, which was delicious, and a couple of cocktails that were very well crafted. The service was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as it’s very hard to get a spot as a walk-in.

“My girlfriend and I went here on Saturday it was a great experience and we both had a lot of fun. We arrived a little early before our scheduled start. The atmosphere was awesome! We sat at the bar for about a half hour and we each got a drink while we waited for our game to start. My girlfriend had Lime in the Coconut Collins and I had Paradise Love. Both drinks were good. They have a very easy to use coat check too. There are a total of 9 courses and each one is unique making for an exciting game of indoor mini golf! There are also servers who walk around and take your drink order and plentiful of convenient stations to set your drinks on while you play and wait for the party ahead of you.“

Also had dark one. Not universally liked. Texture syruppy. I liked it. Quite different but others mixed reviews. No wander bartender offered tasting before ordering for 4.

The place does have TV, so possibly watching MLB playoff. But more of midtown place to hang out after work.

“A few years back, friends of mine took me here, and it remains one of the most impressive speakeasy experiences I’ve had. Every time I’m in New York, I make a point to carve out time for it.

The cocktails are to die for.. they make a proper Negroni and their specialty cocktails are fun and add to the experience.“

“We were in that area for the Union rally and I stopped in for lunch. Nice lost in time pub vibe and the food, which was standard pub food, was really good. My husband had a smash burger that looked good but my turkey club was excellent. Made me wonder why it’s been so many years since I had a turkey club. “Incredible beer selection. They have a rotating draft list and also beer fridges where you can get cans/bottles to go or consume on-site. I tried some beers I have never seen anywhere else. The food is amazing as well. Tried 3 different grilled cheese sandwiches over a few visits and all were great but my favorite was the one with sour cherry jam. Incredible cheese blend. Also really enjoyed the kimchi dog. It’s a very cozy spot that seems to be frequented by locals. Highly recommend this place.“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“
