The night shifted with the live dj and really brought the night together. The staff was sweet & attentive. I recommend this place for birthday, random night out, date night or whatever. “This was our first time eating at Tartinery. There are several items to choose from on the menu. I ordered the Roast Beef Tartine and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were absolutely delicious. The concrete countertops around the restaurant were a nice touch. The staff was incredibly friendly while also providing fast service. We will absolutely visit again when we are in New York.“

“I’ve had the pleasure of having Kim as my bartender and she’s the absolute best there is. Very personable , knowledgeable of what to have to eat or drink and just the best at what she does . Her experience behind the bar should never go unnoticed. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and she’s always stood out among anyone else back there.“

“Beautiful ambiance, decor, and music — genuinely loved the atmosphere and wanted to love this place overall. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were incredibly disappointing. I tried a cocktail, the potato croquettes, a cheese board, and even the prosecco, and everything tasted off or low quality. It’s rare for me to leave a negative review, but the experience just didn’t match the vibe or pricing at all. Huge potential, but the food menu needs really need improvement. Only 4 stars because I grew up in Jersey city and support new restaurants; but for the love of god please update the food menu!!!!!!!!!“

“I went for the very first time for New Jersey Deathfest and found it to be the ideal venue for hard-core and metal. The sound is actually top notch and the staff is very friendly. The gritty decor and atmosphere is very reminiscent of a lot of the noteworthy DIY venues I used to go to in NYC during the 90's for metal and hardcore shows which made it all the more nostalgic for me. I would definitely return here for another show in the future.“

“There must be something in the water here, because this spot has some of the best bartenders I’ve encountered! My friend and I were visiting from Vermont and stayed at the W Hotel. We stopped by The Living Room one evening before we headed out to Brooklyn for some exploration. Jose and Peter were such amazing bartenders, it was difficult for us to leave! Incredible drinks, great atmosphere and conversation. The drinks were easily some of the best drinks we have had. Jose and Peter are both magicians when it comes to mixology. Definitely a highlight of our trip and we cannot wait to visit again. THANK YOU JOSE AND PETER!!“

“I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and staying at a hotel for a few nights. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat nearby. We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the area go there and get the Jack Daniels burger. Talk to the locals. Have a pint and enjoy the vibes. 5/5. 10/10. Incredible.“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. I really love the unique atmosphere of the place -warm, classy and comfortable all at once. No boring old chain restaurant vibes here. Everyone had a great time. I would definitely host future events here.“

Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. “It's a great spot with a lively atmosphere. There are quite spots available if you have a large group. Reservations are important. They don't offer reservations for outdoor seating. Food wise, mostly the options are seafood based. I saw a lot of folks enjoy the tuna, salmon and lobster dishes. This place is not for vegans or vegetarians - all you get is a summer or ceaser salad with fries and crispy onions. The drinks menu is elaborate, saw a friend the perfect Manhattan. Desert wise we tried everything - key lime pie was extremely sour. Brownie sundae was decent and so was the other cherry-wine-vanilla combo. Nothing memorable about the New York cheesecake“
