“I’ve been a loyal customer of Stephanie’s BBQ for years, and they continue to impress me every single time. I usually order the pork ribs and chicken combo, but I finally tried their pork and beef combo—and wow, I’m so glad I did.

The meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell it’s freshly made because it comes out hot and ready every time. The rice was perfectly cooked and goes so well with the meat—it’s simple but really hits the spot.

What I love most is the consistency. It’s not just because I live nearby—I keep coming back because the food is genuinely that good. You can taste the effort and quality in every bite.

“I got the chicken jollof. The people are very friendly and nice. Rice was just okay but the chicken was definitely very good. I would definitely want to come back but I most certainly will not. I paid $27 literally for some chicken, rice, and cabbage. Call it a portion and a half but I did eat the entire thing. Really though, I can go almost anywhere in this city and get the same, if not better, for $12-15. I’ll be honest, I am not even sure how they remain in business charging those prices to people. Well, that’s my two cents minus 2,700. Up to you if you want to give it a go.“

The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. “This place is outstanding. First time there as I saw some IG videos of this place. The location is at Saddle Brook Mall (at least that's what I call it). Plenty of parking. It was clean outside and inside. The atmosphere was modern with plenty of 4 seating at a table for the room it had. It did not have Dominican souvenirs all over. Now the food. We ordered Chofan with churrassco and Maduro. Also, I ordered 1/2 baby back ribs and chicharron pork bellies. They were out of this world. The bone fell off that no meat was left on the bone. OMG it was so delicious. The chosen was so much, it was more served for 2 people. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for and more. Would definitely recommend.“

“I come here pretty often but cannot claim to have explored the menu thoroughly. I absolutely love their tteokbokki, which is just lovely: great portion size, perfect texture, and the subtle spice and sweet flavor of the sauce. Amazing with the addition of cheese.

I’ve also tried the tofu bowl, which I have not bothered with again, as well as the kimbap on numerous occasions, which is a great option for a snack or light lunch. The fried dumplings are super crispy and delicious.

I also almost always get a side of kimchi, which is a good size for the price and has a nice flavor and kick to it.

100% would recommend; I mostly get takeout, but the dine-in seating area is a nice setup. Sometimes they have a BOGO deal on the tteokbokki and it absolutely makes my day every time.“

“Overall, we had a very good dining experience. The food was delicious, especially the steak — it was flavorful, cooked very well, and the portion size was generous and very satisfying. The chicken was also very good. The butter served with the bread was absolutely delicious and a great touch. The asparagus served with the steak was also very well prepared and complemented the dish nicely.

The only disappointment was the potato; I felt it could have been more flavorful and better prepared.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the restroom. It was very dirty, and someone had clearly vomited in the sink area, but it had not been cleaned. For a restaurant of this quality, this was not acceptable and did not match the overall experience. I hope more attention can be given to hygiene and cleanliness.

We also called ahead to make a reservation, but we were told that due to the restaurant being full, we needed to come in person and put our name on the waiting list. We did that, but we ended up waiting more than 40 minutes before being seated. I understand that busy times happen, but the waiting process could be managed in a more organized way.

The food quality was great, but I believe there are areas where the restaurant can improve, especially regarding cleanliness and guest experience. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration.“
