“We needed a BBQ place like this in Orange! BBQ half chicken, with yellow rice and french fries is one of my favorite trays theh carry and within my budget. The fries taste very close to Mcdonald fries! Good food, clean, fast service and spacious sitting area with TV. One thing though is their bbq sauce has high fructose corn syrup and they don't make their hot sauce in house. They also serve coffe and tea, do delivery and accept credit cards. Benjis and Mama Lola watch out!“

“I have been wanting some great Jamaican food since I moved from NY in 2021. Thankfully I found this spot. I ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas, cabbage/carrot dinner, along with a large goat soup, festival and a Soursop drink. The pork is divine, well seasoned, juicy, tender and succulent, the rice and peas were flavorful and moist, the cabbage/carrots were very tasty too. The “goat” soup had 1 piece of goat inside but that not withstanding it was seasoned well. The Soursop drink was delicious a bit sweet but still very good. The festival was really good and a great match for soup. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know and be coming back soon! Visit them today and don’t delay. There’s plenty parking“

“I stopped while visiting relatives. The price is fair/affordable and the selection great. However the wait area requires an immediate update and lighting. Not appealing for first impressions of food purchase. Food prep/serve area also requires updating to insure sanitary concerns. Noting safety req. the thick plexiglass has minimal visibility and you must order/speak thru the holes. The food was flavorful, however yams were slightly overcooked, Mac was short on cheese, greens were equal stalk vs leaf, turkey wings great, chopped BBQ was good the sauce was poured atop. Generous portions. Id love to see it renovated to create curb appeal, attract customers to increase potential revenue. Could definitely become a real diamond in the ruff.“

“McWhorter BBQ is a low key Portuguese bbq spot in the middle of Ironbound. The pork ribs are great the charcoal and saltiness was perfect and the fries were really good. You can’t beat the prices for this area. The service was great and my experience was good but I have one complaint and that is the rice it tasted fishy almost like it was boiled in the same pot as they would boil seafood. If you order fries get a salad or beans on the side and not the rice.“

The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. The food courier was also very nice. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that one of the items we paid for wasn't delivered. “Have only good things to say about this restaurant. Great service and the food is delicious. I loved their ribs and chicken combo and the picadinho. The other reviews were right about the combo. The portions are big enough for 2 people. They have so many different flavors for the empanadas can't wait to try them all. I had the banana Nutella and the cheese guava and they were so yummy. There are tables both indoors and outdoors and they also deliver. I'm definitely coming back!“

“Absolutely love the food. I order every week and never get tired of it. But the service of some of the girls are kind of unpleasant. Like today I called and ask for the price of a different item a usually get, and when I told the lady I was going to call back so I can let my mom know the price (she was the ordering) she just hung up on me without even saying “you’re welcome” after I said thank you. Also sometimes when I go there, some of the ladies act like if they don’t want to be there and it’s the customers fault. Most of them are nice tho. And the last thing is that for the first time I ordered during a weekend, and I was charged a different price than the one online. The reason being is because it was a weekend, but I think they should have that in the website do when people order, they’re aware of it. Because going from $22 to $29, is a lot in my opinion.“

“Best fried chicken around. We ordered the 6 piece meal and the pieces are huge. Friendly staff as well. Also tried the fries, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw as sides and can't complain about any of them. The one drawback was the jumbo shrimp was a bit on the salty side. Parking in the back. Pricing is great especially these days. All the food is made to order so be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes if you order there but it's def worth it. They have a high chair as well for those who need one.“

Cindy was helpful and very busy but I was able to place my order after a few days of going back and forth. Everyone at the party was floored by how good the food was! The Alabama chicken wings were delicious and had a nice kick. The brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful, grateful that they came without bbq sauce so that it could be added as desired. They also included extra sauces when requested which was great. The chopped chicken was tasty. The street corn blew everyone away, it was that good! The potato salad was solid and the cornbread was abundant. The mac and cheese was delish and we’re glad we added the breadcrumbs like the kid delivering the food suggested. Speaking of which, the delivery was the best I have ever experienced. He brought the food in, placed them in the warmers, filled them with water, and lit the sternos. He deserves a raise and promotion for his customer service, I only wish I remember his name.
