“As soon as we saw this place open up and learned that they had authentic Chinese cuisine in addition to sushi, my family knew we had to try it. We got their pan-fried dumplings, mapo tofu, spicy crab, and house special fried rice. Everything was delicious! Pan-fried dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and tasted homemade. The mapo tofu was soft and tender, and covered in chili oil (a bit on the spicy side, but we all love spice). The spicy crab was REAL soft-she’ll crab deep-fried in a seasoned batter and quickly stir-fried in dry chilis. And the house special rice had a wonderful smokiness from the wok. SO MUCH BETTER than the rice at Volcano Hibachi down the road. If you want the best of both Japanese and Chinese (Sichuan) cuisine, RUN to this place!“

“Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“We have been here several times and always have the freshest and most delicious sushi! It’s by far our favorite sushi and we drive from Cherry Hill to Haddonfield because it’s so good. “Absolutely incredible experience here at Akira. Came on a Tuesday evening and the place was packed! Both sides (regular and hibachi). Our server was so sweet and was so fun with our son. The place is loud so our son fit in just nicely.

Food is absolutely incredible!! The little slivers of ginger were the best I’ve ever had. I just wish it was the coarse sea salt on the edamame instead of table salt.

“I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I told her, she was insanely sweet and that I would be right back with cash payment. She goes "okay but don't rush, go and eat first and just come back whenever!" Don't worry i called as soon as I got home! How amazing are they?? This was super special to me, because I have MS and sometimes have issues walking and standing. In a time of need, the owner basically put my needs above hers. Just so sweet!!!“

“The food??? AMAZING!! The chicken wings got so much flavor and the rice is perfectly seasoned not too much not too little. Now my favorite thing??? That shrimp tempura poke bowl is AMAZINGGG. I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

The only thing is, they brought out the food as it was being done. meaning some people on the table was waiting while others were eating. They should bring the food out all together and not 1 by 1.“

Only 2 of us at the table as a 3rd customer left after eating salad and soup because he didn't want to wait. My wife and I had appetizers which filled the gap of the wait.
