Def gonna go back with my friends over the holidays to try something else .. the gentleman at the front when I picked up was very pleasant.. I love that in the bag of condiments was Chinese tea! “Ordered Shiso for delivery on Saturday night after reading some glowing reviews online and it did not disappoint - will be my new go-to for sushi takeout. Got the Chef's choice sushi and tuna/aji sushi and every piece was amazing and so fresh. Also got the spicy tuna crispy rice (don't have a photo) but would skip this next time, it just doesn't travel well. Can't wait to try Shiso in person!“

The salmon lover's sushi entree is my go-to and is accompanied by a salad and soup. “Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“Great value for the price. Whenever I go into an AYCE sushi place, you never actually know how good the sushi will be, but the sushi here was above what I usually expect from AYCE sushi. “I have ordered take out from Sakura several times and it always hits the spot. Because the restaurant is a repurposed Taco Bell (and still maintains that sweet 1990s Taco Bell architecture), it is incredibly convenient to swing through the drive-thru and collect fresh made hibachi and sushi.

One of our favorite dishes is the house fried rice, well made and packed with chicken, steak, and shrimp. Easy to share while trying a bunch of other dishes.

The restaurants pickup times have always been spot on, with our food being served hot. Portions are generous and prices are more than reasonable.“

“The atmosphere was great. Sushi seemed to be good, although I didn't get any. Looked to be super clean and had a sushi bar with very vibrant ingredients.

We ordered the hibachi. It was ok. Not that it was bad, it was edible for sure. But it didn't come with fried rice, it was just white rice in a Chinese container. I was hoping for proper hibachi fried rice. The rest of it was good. Nothing to blow your socks off, but good. I would definitely recommend to people who aren't looking for a whole hibachi dinner and more of a quick lunch, but for the price it was a little underwhelming.

Again, the food itself was decent. But for the price of a hibachi meal I could have picked a few other places local that are substantially better.

Edit: the response from the owner was excellent and I've raised it to a 4 because honestly taking customers in stride with grace deserves at least that.“

“The food was very good. We were impressed by the quality and speed. The staff was very friendly and patient. There was a group of 8-10 tweens that were in there ordering bottles of water and soda and some rice and being very loud and rude. They handled it very well, even when the kids kept pushing and pushing. Great job, will definitely order from there when I'm back in the city.“

“Hands down one of the BEST sushi experiences I’ve had in Philadelphia. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the welcoming, positive energy. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and has such a great vibe that makes you want to slow down and truly enjoy your food.

I ordered the shrimp tempura roll — and honestly… I loved it so much that I ended up ordering TWO of them. Perfectly crispy on the outside, warm and flavorful on the inside, and made with extremely fresh ingredients. Every bite tasted better than the last. You can genuinely tell that a lot of care and pride goes into how the sushi is prepared here.

On top of that, I also ordered a shrimp avocado roll to take home, and Min was absolutely amazing. She was beyond kind, patient, and welcoming — the kind of person who makes you feel like a valued guest, not just another customer. She packed everything up quickly and neatly, and made the whole experience even better with her friendly attitude and positive energy.

This place isn’t just about great food — it’s about great people, great service, and a great overall experience. If you’re looking for authentic sushi, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and a spot that truly cares about their customers, do yourself a favor and come here.
