“Ordered for the first time today through Uber Eats. Had I ordered just the chicken I would have given 5 stars. The best Portuguese style chicken I’ve had in a long time. It was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The beef ribs (short ribs) were also good, just a little tough as it was sliced a bit thick and was slightly undercooked so that made it a bit chewy but had good charcoal flavor. The sweet plantains were the best I’ve had from a restaurant, perfectly caramelized. Beans, fries and coleslaw also good. Ordered the flan but I’m so stuffed I’ll have to wait to see how that is. This is a keeper for sure and I would love to order from them when having a crowd for dinner.“

“It was our 1st time here & WE WILL BE BACK. OMG the food is SO good. We had the Yuca fries with the Aioli sauce. WICKED. I am glad I had a plate to myself, wasn't about to share it. Sorry there are no photos, we were too busy eating!

For dinner we both had the Salmāo Grelhado ao Molho de Marcuja,
a grilled salmon dish which was AWESOME. We had sides of sauteed collard greens, SUPERLATIVE.

Oh, the helpings are quite generous.

The service was great as well.

Bottom line, as I said, we WILL be back.“

“I’ve eaten here two times. The ladies behind the bar are extremely friendly and attentive. The meals are tasty with generous portions. I’m not a huge fan of French fries, but these are so good and taste homemade! The salad was delicious and the garlic pork chops were excellent. My friend had grilled salmon and enjoyed it. The prices are affordable and they even have a $4 glass of house wine that they fill to the rim; you can’t beat it! My only complaint is that it is extremely warm in there. Other than that, I highly recommend.“

“Ate here with a group of co-workers (total of 8 people) after work on a Tuesday evening. It had a casual atmosphere. The food was excellent starting from the appetizers all the way down to the dessert! The calamari and the shrimp during the appetizer was on point. The sauce on the shrimp was great dipping for the bread. For the Entree the seafood pasta was fresh and a generous serving portion for 5-6 people alone in 1 serving. We also had the picadinho, which was my favorite- excellent... not too greasy! And had a good portion of salad with steak. Then we each had a serving of different desserts that we shared- flan, chocolate mousse, tiramisu, cheesecake, and some pudding.“

“Pleasantly surprised with my first time ordering! I had a hard time finding good portuguese food in Bergen County, but I was very satisfied with my order of chicken and ribs combo, small salad and cod fish cakes.
The food was fresh, properly cooked and tasted great condiment and spices wise! It reminds me of restaurants in Portugal, where I never have to ask for salt or any other condiments, as the food is always on point.
I'll definitely go back and try their fish and seafood dishes next time.

“I have been buying food at Maria's BBQ for a long time because I really like the food there and I would like not to damage the image or reputation of the business but something made me quite curious and doubtful when the girl said that the liquid in the hood exploded so no. They had gas and that's how they were working for 3 days... Mr. Manager, if this is true, you would be expecting a lawsuit because you are putting the lives of many people at risk and I cannot tolerate this because my family also consumes your food...“

“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“The fruit tarts and cakes are so pretty and well decorated! We got a lemon dessert cake thing (sorry I didn’t catch the name) it was… very rich, the icing was a bit too sweet and dense for me. The bread we got is like a sweet roll, I was anticipating something super light and fluffy like a Japanese bread, but it wasn’t. It tasted fine, but wasn’t what I was hoping for. The egg tarts and pastry tarts were all very good! They have different flavors such as orange, almond, plain and then egg tarts and fruit tarts. My favorite was the fruit tart.

Parking: Good luck finding parking! Most people just double parked in the area and just had the four ways lights blinking, it was a mad house! We went in the evening on a weekend, not sure about other days or times.“
