“I used to go to this spot on Bloomfield Ave a few years back, but one of the owners (Tommy, i seem to remember) would get a little too animated and become obnoxious towards the customers.

I figured I'd give it another chance and drop by to check it out. It was much more chill. The food was standard bar food, and the beers were relatively inexpensive. The girls behind the bar were cute and attentive. They have a DJ on the weekends, and he plays the classics from back in the day.

Nick, Rich, and Dawn, along with the entire team, were amazing, catering to our every need and setting up everything perfectly. The food and drinks were terrific, and all our guests had a blast. “I have been going to Sonoma almost weekly for over a year now. It started off with taco Thursdays and their delicious margarita specials and has now turned into exploring every menu item possible. I am consistently impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Incredibly delicious every single time. I am gluten intolerant which can pose challenges. The kitchen and staff have been amazing In accommodating my food allergy. I highly recommend Sonoma on any day of the week. It very quickly became my favorite go-to restaurants.“

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The security staff were particularly friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and safe throughout our visit.
While our order did take a little longer to arrive than expected, it was truly worth the wait. Each dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s clear that the chefs at Blue 42 take pride in their culinary creations.
We ended up spending a total of $78, including tips, and I felt that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justified every penny. The combination of great service and delicious meals makes Blue 42 a restaurant I would happily recommend to others.

“This is the second time we’ve had Samar as our server, and he’s just wonderful! He’s so attentive, friendly, and always has a big smile on his face. We came in for the Triple Chocolate Meltdown (which is always a favorite!), but having Samar take care of us made it even better. The service here is always great. Our food comes out quickly, our orders are always right, and even the manager stopped by to check on us. This place really has that cozy, hometown restaurant vibe that makes you want to come back again and again!“

The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“
