“The Royal is a bit like walking back in time. Place hasn't changed much over the years. It was old 30+ years ago, except now there's friendlier feeling. Could have something to do with the girls. They're all very friendly and happy. I used to go there for lunch way back in the day (like 30+ way backs) when we worked on Saturdays. Back then you had to walk over to the dinner side to order what you wanted for lunch and they would bring it over to the bar side. Started going again a year or 2 ago for dinner on Saturdays with my bride.. They even know what drinks we're we want now when we walk in. Speaking of walking in. Don't be put off if all the seats are taken. There's plenty of tables in the back. All in all a great little no frills bar.“

“Verve was hitting on all cylinders last night as we dined with friends. We were seated promptly. Cocktails were well made but did take too long to order and get to the table- something we were willing to overlook once food started arriving. All of our apps were super- chicken buns, pork belly, oysters and calamari’s shared amongst the 5 of us. Everyone raved about their entrees , steaks, lamb and salmon flavorful and perfectly cooked. Desserts were good but could have taken some more effort. Service was competent and professional but wasn’t perfect. All in all a great evening, expensive but good price to value and not out of line with local prices“

“They have great bloody Mary’s. Bloody Flight was a great choice to try all types they offer. Food was excellent and came out fast. Definitely recommend and will go back“

The staff is always welcoming, professional, and accommodating and truly understands the catering business and what it takes to throw an exceptional celebration. “Haven't been to Redstone in over a year. We sat outside as the night was beautiful and our reservation was honored on time. My only complaint is that they really need to update their menu. It's the same old menu that it's been since opening. I had the Thai noodles with the chicken. I requested white mean and they put a breast on top. I was told it would be shredded which would have been much easier to eat as the bowl was small. The dish was very blah so I was disappointed. The service was good so I guess it's all a matter of preference but updating the menu would be a real plus.“

“Went tonight for my wife’s 30th birthday. Took 30 minutes to order appetizers and main course. Also then waited another 30 minute for appetizer and main courses to come out. Service was super slow between waiter and kitchen. Food was good in taste. Appetizer smaller in portion but flavorful. Most people in our party of 6 got the scallops. Two got the lobster dish with squid ink pasta and stated it was okay and not the best pairing. Salmon was paired with a white bean?
We brought in a cake, they charge 5$ for a cake cutting slice, that’s fine but we were never asked for coffees or teas until we asked. When we tried to order the espresso waiter said they were not making them anymore. All in all 4 stars if I were to rate my experience. French fries were Cold.. also. Saddle river inn beats these guys by a long stretch.
