“This was our first time at The Side Car and we were really pleased. It can be tough for me to find classic bar food that still works with being gluten free and mostly plant based, so I was thrilled to see both an appetizer and an entrée that fit my needs.\n\nThe brussel sprout appetizer was fabulous, though be warned, it’s spicy. I love heat, so it was perfect for me. My entrée, the new vegan enchiladas, was also great. They were flavorful without being overly heavy, which made the whole meal feel satisfying but not too filling.\n\nThe rest of my family raved about the Detroit style pizza and the wings. We will definitely be back. The service was spot on, the food was enjoyable, and while the atmosphere was loud, it was still manageable for a fun family night out. “I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“Game day! My wife and I make the two hour drive to Philadelphia to see the Chiefs take on the Colts. We arrive at 12:30 for a 1:00 pm game. The front room was packed. As we walk in we are greeted by nearly everyone. We don't know a soul, but they all say Hello.
We head to the back room and find a high top table. As we walked back, a patron named Paul walks to the bar and moves a seat for my wife and carries it over. Friendliest bar on the planet
This is not a large bar. However, the drinks are quickly poured. The pricing is great. They even serve hot food on game days. Make sure to get a sausage and peppers early before they run out.
Most importantly, it is a comfortable sports oasis for KC Chiefs fans in South Philly. It reminds me what sports are all about, sharing a few drinks and a game with fellow fans.“

“We found this gem of a place by accident. Walking near our Airbnb while on a trip down from Canada to see our Flyers play. This is a local bar/restaurant but we were welcomed in and had a great time. Super friendly staff, service was fantastic. It was a great place to hangout. We will 100% add this place to our favourites and return when we are back down again for a game. We came mostly for drinks but one guy had their wings and said they were excellent.“

We were all so glad we came here and it was the best service! Ashley was our waitress and she was the absolute best and so sweet. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious!! My friend got the mac and cheese and she said it was the best mac and cheese she's ever had!“

Inevitably, people start to say hello. It brings me back to the old corner bars in Philly.

Food was good and so was the beer (and I’m not a huge beer person honestly). Prices are pretty average compared to larger establishments like BJ’s Brewhouse. Bartender was friendly and did a good job keeping up with checking on everyone at the bar regularly. If I ever wind up back at the TA across the street for a reset I’m definitely coming back.“
