Il Riccio Cape May Reviews
I found this place last summer and realized it’s the best spot at the shore. Any chance I got on my night off I went to dinner here with my wife. We both love it. So couldn’t wait to come back for this season we went last night and the meal was amazing. We got stone crabs the size of a babies arm, who need to go all the way to Florida. These were fresh and delicious. Out entrees were amazing wife had stuffed lobster ravioli with stone crab meat and langostinos on top wow!!...read full review
I’d consider myself a foodie—I’ve dined at some of the best restaurants in New York City—and this place is an absolute must when you’re in Cape May. Between bringing our own great wine (BYOB), the incredible service, the hands-on owner, and the food itself, you truly can’t beat it. We’ve been coming to Cape May for over 10 years, and this restaurant is now right up there with our all-time favorites. Pure homemade goodness from start to finish.
Il Riccio surpassed all expectations! From the moment we were greeted at the door, we received warm, personalized service. Luca, the Proprietor, enthusiastically explained the makings of dishes with authentic ingredients, many sourced from his native Italy, along with the freshest local seafood. Valeria, his lovely daughter, attentively served the delicious & artfully presented dishes, answering any questions to assist in guiding our choices. The decor is simple and lovely...read full review

Il Riccio Cape May is described as an incredible Italian restaurant. Guests feel welcomed from the moment they walk in. The service is exceptional, with staff who know the menu and take pride in their work. The food is fantastic, made in-house with high quality ingredients. The menu includes burrata, gnocchi, Alaskan crab legs with a spicy red sauce, langoustines, sorbet, Lobster Ravioli, Caesar salad, olives, fresh mozzarella, espresso over ice cream, pistachio namelaka, Branzino, and Alaskan king crab. The owners personally source food from Italy, Spain, and New York, and make their own olive oil in Italy, which is delicious on real Italian bread. The setting is beautiful with comfortable, intimate seating options, including a cute little nook with plush pillows. Guests say the food, service, and atmosphere are all right. Many call it the best dining experience in years and their new favorite Italian restaurant. Even those who live far away plan to return. Il Riccio is highly recommended.
