“We went here tonight for the first time and we feel like we FINALLY found our Thai restaurant in the area! We loved it!
The food was fresh, hot, and fantastic. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and intimate. This place is the real deal. If you are looking for a good Thai restaurant in the area then THIS is the one.“

“I went with my girlfriend who lives in Short Hills -first time dining here. I fancy myself a foodie and I always say I'm easy to please but hard to impress. This was hands down one of the best meals I've had in ages and probably the top 2 Thai restaurants I've ever been to. We ordered so much food, assuming we would take at least half of it home, but had a hard time stopping and nearly finished it all before we left.

The staff was so lovely - happy, friendly people.

We had:
-Green papaya salad - perfect balance and just the right amount of spice (level 1)
-Chicken Larb - level 1 -also perfect
-Red curry chicken, substituted the bell peppers with Chinese broccoli - level 2 - perfect heat and consistency of the sauce
-Street cabbage - wok charred with a garlicky sauce- such a simple dish but so much flavor.
-Thai fried rice - straightforward & delicious

10 out of 10 -no notes. Delicious from start to finish. Next time I'll BYOB.

“We love Origin Thai! For both my husband and I is our favorite place to eat in Morristown area. It's where we go when we need a taste of comfort or something special. Phoebe and the team are always so attentive and the food is always super fresh.They are helpful with navigating allergies too.

We love either takeout or dining in just the 3 of us or with friends. Mid week or weekend!

“The food here genuinely lives up to the name of being tasty. I’ve been coming here for years ever since they opened during Covid. I love the servers here too, they are always polite and friendly. When I come here with my family we always have to double order the curry puffs they are just so yummy.“

We tried their chicken satay, fried rice, beef drunken noodles, and fish cake, and every single dish was spot on. The chicken satay was juicy and flavorful, the fried rice perfectly seasoned, the beef drunken noodles had that authentic bold Thai flavor with tender beef, and the fish cake was delicious and well balanced. “Went for lunch and the place was very cute! Nicely decorated and lots of seating available. I got the thai iced tea which was rich and creamy and the pad kee mao that had lots of flavor in the sauce and is not too salty. The vegan puffs were flaky and soft. Will definitely come again!“

“Had a wonderful dining experience with polite and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The Malay and Thai food was excellent with great flavors and freshness.

For appetizers, we ordered the veg roti canai, veg fried dumplings, and papaya salad, all were delicious and a perfect start to the meal. I am a vegetarian and I love roti canai but most places add chicken broth to it, so I am not able to eat it. I was so pleasantly surprised that this restaurant has a vegetarian version. It was so good that we ordered another plate of roti canai. For the main course, we tried the Thai basil, Thai pineapple curry, and chilli chicken. The Thai basil and pineapple curry were especially flavorful and paired very well with rice.

The only slight disappointment was my husband's order of chilli chicken, which turned out to be a dry entrée and not the best choice to have with rice but it was on us for not confirming before ordering.

Overall, the food, service, and experience were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place for great Malay and Thai cuisine. I definitely want to go back for another round of roti canai.“

“Overall the food was excellent. We were a party of three. The rule is to serve all three at the same time. They served us one at a time making us wait until three of us had food. Not a favorable process. I ordered Tom Tom noodles with seafood, spicy. The broth was over the top spicy. Reason was simple. Rather than slicing the Thai chillie in half, it was chopped finely, hence increasing the heat factor exponentially. I like very spicy food but this was over the top for me.“

The best thing about this place is that the seafood is fresh. And the server super helpful and easy to talk to. We like discussing what seafood is fresh and what she recommends. I’ve been here twice, and will come back more.

Portion sizes are good and food does not mess up with stomach.

Well, I don't know if it's the dish I ordered, or if the reviews are right. But you have regained me as a happy customer. The RED CURRY SHRIMP was DELICIOUS. “My family has been coming here weekly for about 3 years now. The staff is extremely friendly, and they always talk to and play with our children (2 and 4). We always do sushi, but our kids do the udon noodles and sometimes the sesame/general tso chicken and we have not been disappointed. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
