“Went here for a birthday party and the food was SO GOOD. Get all the snails, clams, shrimp, etc—they got it all. Def try the whelk with the cilantro lime sauce. The server was also incredibly nice and attentive. We would go to ask for something, and he was already there with more water, sauce, knife for the cake. Great spot!“

Inside was a little quieter and sitting at the bar the bartender was super attentive while outside we did need to raise our voices to hear each other and had a very hard time getting a server to consistently come check on us. “My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“I visited El Patio Cafe Restaurant for the first time. I ordered the chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and cherries for me and my daughter. It was so light and airy, affordably priced for the container size. The environment is warm and inviting with a small seating area to accommodate ten people, in case you are waiting on your order to be completed. Speaking of orders, the menu displays a variety of multicultural foods and they are affordable for the budget-conscious eater. Overall, I highly recommend El Patio Cafe Restaurant as my go-to neighborhood eatery for good eats and sweet treats. If you are reading this review and you are not local to the South Philadelphia area, I suggest you check them out with a friend.“

“The food was good, the salad bar was plentiful with a good variety, our server was very professional but the place was dirty! Cig butts by entrance, old original stained carpeting, dust all over the counters/bookshelves. I was concerned to even eat there tbh. I heard they remodeled but I didn't see how🤷‍♀️“

“I found this place on Google. My best friend and I LOVED THE FOOD. Can't talk about drinks. The 2 barmaids let us stand at the bar while; they, chatted with each other. One sat down with her female acquaintance, and the other went off to talk to patrons on stools. I shouldn't have to flag anyone when; I'm, the only one standing. There were approximately 15 ppl in the bar, including the barmaids. We packed our food and left. We will go back for THE FOOD.“
