Had a lovely lunch with my friend. We shared the cream tea. She got a lamb pastie which I tasted and was delicious. I got the poached salmon sandwich. We each ate our fill and there were still leftovers
Sally Lunn's is an iconic Chester institution. The food is always fresh and delicious. My must-order items are the chicken pot pie, tiddy oggi, potato salad, scones, chocolate chip cookies, and the Nutcracker tea blend. Be sure to check out their specials and desserts! Many of their items are available gluten-free as well. You can also find a great variety of British snacks & condiments, such as Branston pickle.
Service was somewhat slow. Wouldn’t allow two small children to share a tea package (which was pricey for what was included portion wise) food was good nothing mind blowing. Scones were delicious though. The cottage tea package was fairly priced and yummy. Charged us 20% gratuity for a party of five but it was two adults and all small children.
